Another Nuva Ring Question

I got pregnant with my first son on NuvaRing.. so it is the butt of many jokes in our house. Especially when the NuvaRing commercial comes on.

Maybe you need a lower concentration of hormones? ...Migraines are awful! I hope you can figure out what the problem is. I never experienced any bad side effects, but I did get pregnant 11 months into using it. And no, I didn't take any antibiotics, or forget to put a new one in.... the one I was using didn't fall out... I got pregnant because it didn't work. Although.... I did get one AMAZING little boy out of the whole ordeal, so I guess its okay :)

I'm in the same boat at Peachy23. Aside for getting pregnant on it, I have had zero side effects. No migraines, no nausea, no weight gain etc. I love it. And yep, I'm back on it and do still trust it. You should be able to get a few months worth of "samples" from your obgyn. Good luck with it!

I am 36 and have been on it over 4 years. I had read where some were leaving it in all four weeks and then replace it, not skipping a week. I started doing that and no longer have any heavy cycles, actually if I have anything it is just light brown spotting. I have avoided headaches and cramps by doing this. I do still get irritated easily towards that last week though ;^)

I had to stop using it because if the awful migraines I would have every month. I liked it for birth control, hated the side effects.

I always got a migraine the week it came out as well. I stopped using it.

One of my friends had to stop using it because it was lowering her heart rate significantly! These labs are not required to test the rings because they use the same molecule has the pills... except...how do you really control the dosage and what kind of chemicals do they use to put the hormones in the plastic???
