Alternative to Jeans

Hi moms,

So I like to be comfortable, fashion-wise, but I also want to be a bit more put-together outfit-wise. None of the suit-pants from my pre-baby days fit comfortably anymore. I have "jeans" in a few colors (black, beige, denim). I like how you can wear blue denim with practically everything, but is there a NON-denim pant that works just as well for casual but comfortable?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I have several pairs of casual pants from Ann Taylor Loft that I love. They are a really soft cotton and don't need to be ironed. They are having a sale right now with 40% off already reduced items.

My girlfriend LIVES in khaki's, and she always looks so much more 'put together' than me (I love jeans)... my alternative, only because I have a dozen different loose, flowy, long shirts, are black stretch pants. LOVE them... and paired with heels and a nice sweater, it can look really nice. Some women wear stretch pants and look like hookers, but you can definately manage to wear them tastefully :)

I like corduroys as an alternative to jeans, and they can dress up without a lot of effort. I can pull them off at work where it is business casual most of the time by wearing a nice sweater or blouse. I can also hang out in them on the weekends.

Well leggings are totally back in and so comfortable. I have leggings in black and gray. The look super cute with tunic type shirts, long sweaters etc. Also they look really cute with knee high boots which are so popular too.

I agree with the khakis and also the knit pants. You can find fabrics now that are a little stretchy, yet still hold their shape well, so they are comfy, but not sloppy.

Jeggings maybe?
I also saw the commercial, but the commercial is for PajamaJeans (www.pajamajeans.com). They look SO comfortable!
I just double checked and found that PajamaPants.com is for actual pajama bottoms. I was hoping for maybe a competetor with lower prices!

I bought some corduroy pants at the gap outlet off 75 and stacy and love them! I think they are on sale now too for 20 or under. They are soft and have a little stretch in them too. I have them in. Khaki, plum, grey. They are great for work too!

I have some black form fitting knit type pants that I love.

One pair came from Bebe and have leather trim at the waist. I loved them so much I bought a 2nd spare pair.

I got some others at the Limited. Again, form fitting, not leggings but good fit and shows off tiny waist, etc. I have about 3 pair of those.

You can dress them both up or down with some strappy heels or cute sandals paired with a dressy or casual top.

I do love my jeans too... I like the Guess Dardevil straight leg, low rise.

I think khaki pants are great. They go with everything.

I have a pair of black knit pants with an elastic waist band. I wear them with a pair of low heels and a nice blouse to work. For a more casual look, with a pair of flats and a sweater or knit top. They're much more comfortable than jeans.

I love my black knit pants, they are cut like yoga pants but nicer materials, I can wear them around the house, to work out, out on a night with a cute shirt for dinner/bar with hubby.

Leggings if worn right are great at nearly any age.

Oh and there are these new pants I see advertised that are like sweatpants and jeans combo ... interesting.

I love stretch corduroys that you can get at places like Old Navy.

Also I have to put in my 2 cents that I LOVE Cato for fashions, I think their clothes are true-to-size and very affordable.
