Hi, Moms! My question is...do any of you have an all-in-one computer? What do you like about it? What don't you like? What brand do you have? My computer is on its last leg and I've been thinking this is what I want to replace it with. Would like your comments/suggestions. TIA! Have a great day!

What can I do next?

I've had my HP All in One for a month. We love it. Especially how it cleans up the desk - No CPU or extra cables. That's a positive plus. The kids love the touchscreen. It like a really big Ipad. We have not had any issues related to HP. The operating system freezes ever so often goes into 'Not Responding', but so does my new Dell. Same problem on both. I highly recommend the HP.

My hubby just ordered an HP all-in-one and he is picking it up from Best Buy tonite...very excited to check it out!!

BTW, whenever we buy a laptop, computer, tablet, or whatever, we get the Black Tie service plan from Best Buy...it covers just about EVERYTHING! I spilled coffee on my hubby's laptop earlier this year and they replaced the entire motherboard and keyboard at no cost. (It is the same laptop I am using right now.)

I was told not to get one because if something like the screen goes you have to replace the whole thing.. And this was the Geek Squad at Best Buy that told me not to get an all in one.. you can always keep the screen of your current computer and just get a new tower much cheaper as you can get a great one for around 300 at Walmart

At first I was thinking a laptop that replaces a desktop computer, that is what we have and LOVE it. The laptop has an average "destop screen" size, full keyboard and lots of other features that a desktop has BUT all very portable. Our laptop has taken trips around the house, around the state and even to other states with no problems.

Now after my google search it looks like everything is behind the computer screen and the keyboard is in front. If that is the case we do not have one.

I love APPLE after having a couple of PC's. I wouldn't go back. When you swap it takes a bit of getting used to but MacBooks are so user friendly. Also I just google anything I don't know how to do with it and up pops the info. I have not had any difficulties or problems with my laptop. I have it set up on a small desk and take it with me when I travel. I think they are worth the money.

I noticed a few of you have purchased HP's lately. Ouch! HP is getting out of the computer business and will not be supporting them any longer. They are moving completely to the business server side of the industry. Stores are trying to get rid of their inventory and placing them on sale. Explains all the cheap HP's lately!

I have a Dell(Hubby works with them), I think it's called XPS One. I love it- takes up less space and less wires everywhere. We added a wireless keyboard, mouse, and printer. I'm sure it was a good deal because it was refurbished.

I can't imagine not having the portability of a laptop, but if I were to get a stationary computer, that looks better than the older tower style for sure. Any reason you wouldn't just get a laptop? Are the all in ones less expensive?

I highly recommend an iMac. I have had many different computers over the last 25 years and have just returned to the Mac and I will NEVER buy anything else again. I have had my iMac for about 2 years now, with no problems at all. Every other PC that I have owned (HP, Dell, etc.) had chronic problems within the first 6 months and was a piece of junk within 2-3 years.Yes, the Macs are more expensive, but so worth it. They last forever and you don't even have to have any virus protection. All of the viruses are written for Windows computers. I recently sold my old mac that was about 25 years old. The software was out of date and it only had 40 megabytes of storage, but was still working perfectly.
