I'm looking for dance or gymnastics classes close to Lansing, Illinois to get my 5 year old daughter active. Money is kind of tight right now so I'm hoping to find someplace that's not gonna cost me an arm and a leg. Or if you have any ideas of something other than dance or gymnastics I'm open to suggestions. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!
Try the Dance Connection in Hessville on Kennedy. They're amazing. $30.00 a month and their classes are wonderful. Their recital are absulutely great. My older two girls have been students their and they both love it!

After looking around at Midwest and Gymboree, I take my daughter to Patti's All American in Dyer. The staff are wonderful, and my daughter loves it! I wasn't sure how into it she would be (she wasn't 2 yet when she started), but she gets so excited! They have dance and gymnastics also. Their website is really good, and you can get all your info there!

Hi A., Im in Cal City and I take my daughter to the Lansing Park district. Im not sure if you checked them out already, the price is ok for me. Its one of the cheapest in the area. I have to agree with the other poster about Patti's also. I have heard some positive things about Patti's. There is a place called the Midwest training and ice arena in Dyer or Schererville(cant remember) but they offer gymnastics also.
As far as dance, my daughter goes to the Calumet City's park district. I paid around $50 and that covered a tap/ballet class once a week for 2 months.

I LOVE THEM and they are great on the pocketbook. Also every month they have a "Kids Night Out" where you drop your child off for $30.00 and for four hours they do dymnastics, crafts, eat pizza and watch a movie.
