AdvoCare - Olathe,KS

Hello, I am wondering if anyone out there has used the AdvoCare system for weight loss. I've done a little research and the products get pretty good reviews. My hesitation is the Amway or Mary Kay like set up of the company, they want you to sell the products and of course you get a discount on your products that way. I've tried to see if perhaps I could find similar products at a place like GNC but without too much luck so far. GNC has meal replacement shakes, but I'm not finding much with the supplements like AdvoCare offers.

Any thoughts? Ideas?

Thank you.

M.

I have a friend that sells it and it drives me crazy that she's always trying to get us to do it.. but she did send me some product samples and they were pretty dang good, the spark (energy drink) is freaking amazing... just avoid getting sucked into selling the stuff and you're golden. lol. Although it is a good product if you did want to sell it...

My relative sells this. He paid out thousands to get to the next level so he could get a discount. He is currently trying to unload closets full of this stuff at cost just to be done with it.

He claims atheletes use it, but several are suing because banned things(for sports) were in some. Also, what made him lose weight was not eating out, not drinking a case of cokes, not drinking a venti Starbucks, etc...

He also started exercising. He was morbidly obese and just doing the right thing made the weight come off. It is weird but he has leveled off at 200 pounds and is using double the products with no luck. He is still exercising, not eating out a lot, and stuff.

His brother was as large and is still overweight while using it. He doesn't try to sell to family because he had to refund money to several.

No matter what discount you get, I would NOT invest and become a salesperson for any MLM ever. Plus, some companies get bonuses for ordering a full case. Ask the salesperson if he needs just x more dollars to get the full case and bonus would he or she sell you the stuff you want at the discounted price?

M.,

I haven't looked at the other answers yet, but my best friend is an Advocare rep and has been faithfully using the products for probably 10 years. I don't think you have to become a rep to get it--I think she can just order it for you. I used to get the shakes through her and I really liked them. Please feel free to e-mail her with your questions--she will answer your questions honestly and will NOT pressure you into anything!! She's in the health industry for her job and so she uses the products because she believes they are good for her, not just to "sell" them. Her name is Leslie. I'll send you a message with her e-mail.

I think their products are awesome. The 21 day challenge (cleanse) has worked for so many people I know. And you feel really good.

I used advocare before and after my wedding last year and lost around 40lbs in 3 months. It was awesome and I loved it. It works really well and I highly recommend it. I never got involved with the sales end of it and have not found anything else that worked so well... As soon as I am done breastfeeding I will be getting back on it.

I used to use Advocare and I also sold it. It really worked wonders for me; I lost 40 pounds in three months. I stopped using it because it is so danged expensive! Needed that money for more important things. Best of luck to you if you decide to use it! :)

I don't know anything about AdvoCare, but I looked it up on the Internet, and I see that the company is a part of the Direct Selling Association, which means that it must abide by a very strict code of ethics. Only a small percentage of direct sales companies are members of the DSA because they have to be invited into it after being carefully evaluated to see whether they are, indeed, running their company according to those standards. Pressuring customers to become distributors (as opposed to informing them of the opportunity so they can make an informed decision as to whether it would be in their best interest to do that) would be a clear violation of the DSA's standards. Go ahead & talk to a distributor & get your questions answered. If you decide that the weight loss products are likely to help you with healthy weight loss & that the price is worth the benefit, go for it.

I happen to be using a different weight loss program and have lost 5 pounds in 18 days in a very healthy way. This is after trying to get those pounds off over the past 3 years without success. I'm using Slimplicity from Reliv, which is another MLM company that is a member of the DSA. I am very happy with the products and the company, and I can't wait to drop the other 21 pounds so I can get back into the pretty red dress that my husband bought for me when we were first married!

My husband uses it and loves it. A friend of mine has been using it since June after she had her daughter and has lost over 7% body fat. I think like any home business there is incentive for the person selling it to recruit others. My friend who sells it, has never asked us to start selling it, probably because he knows we won't. There has to be a consultant out there that once you say you don't want to buy it will leave you alone. My husband switched from what he was getting at GNC to Advocare, and seems to be having better results. I think I'm going to try it after I have my twins and I'm done breastfeeding.

If you are interested, I can recommend something I like better. You can get it at a discount w/o being asked to sell it.
