wait til after the end of October--- then there is a place on line called (freecycle.com ) look into it this is a place that has things that you can use to give things away on costs no money to get onto and is in every state and area .Might be a good place to start.

Many local vet's will put up flyers, so check with not only your regular vet, but others in the area. If your vet has a large cage they can put in the waiting room they may let you put them there for a few days. Petco has pet adoption days, check and see if you can bring the kittens. Also check with some rescue groups in the area, they may be able to list the kittens on their websites as courtesy listings. I would recommend unless you know the person charging at least a small fee for the kittens, that helps cut back on people who do not truly want the kittens for a pet. Once you meet the person you can always decide not to charge. You did a really nice thing for momma cat and her kittens, good luck on finding the kittens wonderful loving homes!

Your vet will probably let you put up a flyer at their office. You can also place an ad in the paper. Be careful allowing random people to come over to your house, though. You might be better off meeting at a public place first to show them the kitten and interview them.

I have received kittens off of craigslist, put them under the free section so you don't have to pay for the ad. Also, check with your surrounding area freecycles to post on there some allow you to post there and some don't. To find your local freecycle visit freecycle.org. Also putting up a sign in surrounding vets offices also works and usually they let you do it free as well.

Ask the local vet to put up a flyer or if they are willing to keep them there and find homes for them. I know alot of people who got their cats from the vet's office, including me. The vet usually gets more business (shots, neuter, etc.) so it's a win-win for both of you. Start with the vet you use, but also try any vet close to your house. I also put up flyers at the local grocery and pet stores to find a home for a stray kitten, and interviewed the people by phone before letting one go.

If you have FBook, why not post it on there? If only your friends and their friends can see your post, then people who want the kitten are more likely to be 'your type' of people. ?? (I dunno. I don't have FB, but have heard of people giving away unwanted kittens thru FB before).

you could try your local freecycle. People are always giving away kittens or puppies on ours.

There are several animal rescue groups in the area who make sure kittens go to good homes and are well taken care of. That's where we got our kitten. :)

call a couple of your local feed stores and ask if they have had any customers wanting kittens. they may let you sit out front and give them away, or they may know who to call that wants one. at least at the feed store you have a better chance of them going to a good home. I got rid of two litters worth of kittens this way!

A lot of people post flyers at Wal-mart, or the local pet stores here. Sometimes they even stand outside of walmart with the kittens in a box. Either they are marked free, or 5 dollars, or however much.
What a great thing you did rescuing them. I adopted two cats that were abonded in a parking lot, rescued by a lawyer, who then prosecuted the person who dumped them (he got their license plate). The poor cats had to stay in the pound for 6 months during the court case. I knew they were mine the minute I saw them.
