My son is almost 5 and is such a picky eater. He totally will not eat any veggie's and I have a hard time getting him to eat fruit as well. It seems like his diet consists of only a handful of things, non of which are healthy! I am trying to find a childrens vitamin that has all of the nutrients in it that you would find in your daily serving of fruits and veggies. Does anyone have any suggestions on vitamins or ways I can "secretly" incorporate the good stuff into his daily diet?

What can I do next?

I also give them vitamens there the lil critters gummy vitamens. they love them mostly because they think there candy. but you have to keep them refrigerated or they melt.

My 5 year old loves Nutripals cerial bars and the chocolate drink. She thinks it is candy bars and chocolate milk and I know it is good for her. You can usually find them near the pedisure and pediolyte.

I don't have a recommendation for vitamins but recently my son went through a period where all he would eat was spaghetti. I added finely chopped veggies (green pepper, celery, onion) to the sauce. I also added baby food (carrots, beans, peas, sweet potatoes) to the sauce - one kind at a time. He never noticed that I added anything.

I also got him to "drink" Pediapals. I had to give it to him through a medicine syringe because he wouldn't drink it outright. I also told him it was medicine that the doctor said would make him better (he is on a long term medication regimen so he didn't think much of it). I would be able to get an entire bottle in him by the end of the day.

A friend had recommended making "smoothies" out of ice cream or yogurt and adding pediapals or breakfast drink and also pureed fruit.

Good luck!

we had the same thing with our oldest...she wouldnt eat hardly anything at all except junk food, chips and candy and chocolate milk...so we looked into Pediasure....its really think alone, so we put in a cup half pediasure and half regular milk...she referred to it as her "sweet milk", it tasted sweet but loaded with vitamins.

I give my kids Arbonne vitamins each day, which contain all of the veggies kids need to consume in a day. Arbonne uses whole veggies that they cold press to keep the nutrients. I have two small children who are incredibly picky when it comes to eating the good stuff, but I feel relieved to know that they are getting their daily servings of vegetables in these vitamins. They are also loaded with antioxidants, which are cancer fighting agents in the form of Vitamins A, C and E. If you're interested, check out Arbonne's website at www.arbonne.com, or simply email me at ____@____.com. I'd be happy to give you more information on the products, and let you know how to get the vitamins at an incredible discount.

Good luck.

I can tell you that I had the same problem with my three year old daughter. She won't eat anything good for her anymore! i started using Shaklee Vita-Lea infants mix in her juice each day. It's a powdered form, and has no taste so she has no clue I've given her something good for her! HAHA!! I also mix it into my son's formula. It's made of all natural ingredients in their purest forms. It contains 23 essential vitamins and minerals, more then most that are on the market. I really love the stuff.
Also, they make the chewables for children who will take them (NOT MY KIDS!) called Ocean Wonders.

Go to www.shaklee.net/jandj_essentialwellness and click on Nutrition, and then children's health to find the products. I think you will be very pleased! Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Hi

I usually give my kids the vitamins called "Little Angels". You can find them at GNC, not sure where else might have them, but probably all health stores. They are all natural , no shilac or any of that bad stuff that are in alot. They also have "Angel C" , which is a child dosage of vitamin C for them. My kids love them. They also have it in liquid form.

I feel for you. My stepson is the same way. We are slowly introducing new foods but it is tricky. We bought him liquid vitamins that go in his juice. He never knew that they were there. They also sell gummy bears and I think lollipops. Good luck.

This is so common and so frustrating. Cont to put other foods on his plate and encourage him, but don't push. I'm a dietitian and one of my coworkers always encouraged parents to puree veggies and sneak them into other things kids would eat like pizza sauce, mashed potatoes, etc. My child won't eat many things either, and I'm a dietitian, so don't feel bad. She soes like these new veggie chips by Flat Earth which have 1/2 serving of veggies per serving. It makes me feel better anyway. Its important to remember that you can't make your kid eat, and you are only responsible for what he is offered. The best vitamin is Centrum Jr.

Try pedisure once a day. That should work and they have all different kinds to try.
