I am a mother of a ten-month-old and am hoping that someone can recommend a bike trailer that can turn into a jogging stroller. I am looking to avoid purchasing both separately! Thank you so much!

I bought mine at Walmart for $90(on sale) and I LOVED it! I have 2 kids (6 and 4 both are tiny) but they easily fit in there and it was easy to tow, attach and unattach. I bought this one:

I originally bought this as a try it out and see but ended up loving it I didn't feel the need to upgrade to an overly expensive one!

I own the Chariot Cougar 1 (for 1 child), bought for biking, but we actually use it for jogging a lot as well. I wanted to be able to go mountain biking and on dirt roads, and this was the only trailer that has suspension and I found that people had actually taken off pavement. Although I haven't yet taken it off pavement, I'm sure it will be great for that. It is very expensive (about $700 for the chassis, jogging and biking attachments), but you might be able to find a good deal on the 2009 model, or get it cheaper on eBay. I saved several hundred dollars by getting the previous model. It really holds up, I have used it for triathlon training, so my son can be with me when I train, using it almost every day for several months. If you plan on using it a lot, don't go for a cheap one, you will probably end up just buying another one. Also, the resale value on these holds up really well, you'll see if you check eBay. The Chariot Cougar is a cheaper version, no suspension, and Burley is another really good brand, not as expensive (although still several hundred dollars), but something to look at if you will be using this a lot.

I hate to give you vague info but my parents bought one that I think is called a "doodlebug". They bought the bike trailer and I paid for the conversion kit so that I could use it as a jogging stroller as well. I really like it and my dad did a ton of research before purchasing. It's at my parents' house right now so I can't check for the brand. Hopefully you can google it and find some info.

Good Luck!

I bought this one:

You can't beat the price, it works great as a trailer, easily fit two kids (if you decide to add another one) and the stroller is adequate. The one downside, if you are a serious runner it would become a little frustrating to push since it doesn't glide as easily as my friends Chariot and there aren't as many bells and whistles - like a locking feature and water bottle holders. But for the price (the Chariot is ~$350 - $500) it's pretty tough to beat.

good luck
