Can you drive a car from state to state with a temp tag? My husband says "No" but I want another opinion.

What can I do next?

My husband who used to sell cars said yes. I would just take my bill of sale or loan papers just to be safe.

I don't think you can but you might want to check w/the State regristration office or the DPS.

Good Luck

Hi R.! I checked with my dad, who is a retired DPS Officer. He said that you can travel out of state as long as you are back before the paper tags expire. I would also take your paperwork with you, just in case.

Have a safe trip!

Hello.

Is the tag from a dealership or is it a 30 day temporary tag from the state?
