I am not sure if this is exactly the method you are inquiring about, but this is what we did. When my son was diagnosed with wheat, soy, peanut and tree nut allergies we eliminated all known sources of these foods from his diet. His eczema did improve greatly. After one month, we reintroduced foods one at a time to see what was the biggest problem (wheat is the only one he can tolerate). He still has flare ups because of all his environmental allergies. We try to avoid his food allergy foods, but sometimes he does get something. He gets itchy and the eczema is back. Overall, my son has been very healthy since we eliminated these foods too.
Good luck!
