Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good acupuncturist in the city that wasn't really expensive. I have gone to two before...one really pricey so I couldn't afford to continue with her and one reasonable but her attitude was pretty negative. I'm going through infertility treatments...she was always negative about things working with where my levels were...not helpful, thank you!

Was hoping there might be somebody out there who has a postive bedside manor and reasonably priced...too much to ask????

thanks all!

What can I do next?

I went to Richard Blitstein. I really liked him and his practice. Here is his info:

I know nothing about this place but do remember that when this website was just Mamasource (and only local) many people talked about this place:

While I struggled with infertility, I did not seek the assistance of alternative medicine or methods. I'm not downplaying them, just mentioning it because I clearly have no experience on this matter but am passing along things I had read in the past.

Good luck to you and hope you find something/someone that works :)

Sorry for the delayed answer to your question but just going through some old emails. I have been going to Doug Lyons at Rising Moon Acupuncture for the past several months. He does acupuncture in a communal setting which means it is not in a private room, but in a large room with 5 reclining chairs. Doug is super nice and his treatments have been effective for me. His initial consult fee is $10 and treatments are $20-$50 after that depending on what you feel you can afford to pay. He is not exactly in Lincoln Park but not too far at 3804 North Clark (Right next to Uncommon Grounds). risingmoonacu.com. If you go, tell him I sent you. Good luck, Beth W.

I have never been to one, but my friend goes every other week. She is in Evanston, and my friend highly recommends her. She is Ming Jie Chiang, and her office is located off of Green Bay Rd and Central Ave. If you want her contact info please let me know, or if you have any questions my friend can answer as she & her mom have been going there for over 10 years each!
Good Luck!

My sister is an acupuncturist, and I have seen her myself (so I feel I can honestly vouch for her!!). She has great results with infertility treatments--it's one of her specialties.

She is right off the red line, and good prices compared to others I've seen.

Best of health to you!

Hi M.,

I would check out the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Lakeview (Broadway & Waveland). My husband has used Marie-France there (I can't remember her last name, but she's an instructor there) and was pleased with his experience.

Best,
R.
