I know I should probably know this ...but what to DH and DD mean? And any other short cuts you can fill me in on! I know most of the texting basics...just not for the bogs!!!!

What can I do next?

D=dear or darling. IMO(in my opinion) I think it's kinda weird refering to your husband as darling and dear.

Great question! Sometimes I struggle with some of the abbreviations used on here. Hey Mamapedia ....(if you are reading this post.... why don't you put a list of abbreviations on the Help page?? It would definitely help new readers understand the posts and make them more likely to continue to participate!

When I first came on here I couldn't figure that out either. LMAO! I agree with Morgan. I think its kind of weird calling my husband darling. If I say my darling husband ....it's usually because he did something wrong, like my darling husband thought it would be a good idea to do this.... I love my husband, but darling or dear...not so much. lol

That is so funny. I guess I have been blogging on threeads so long, I forget to new comers it can seem as if they are walking into Russia & everyone is speaking Russian. So, I think as they come up just ask. DH (yes is suppose to stand for "Dear Husband or Darling Husband" but sometimes it can stand for "D*M* Husband" LOL (laughing out loud) when you are angry with them! :) (means smiling face) BTW (By the Way).

Thank you for clearing that up for me, too! I had figured out what the second letter meant, but was stumped on the first "D" :)

Oh, & then we have the abbreviations which the teens/20s use......all of which are quite offensive! My nephew sent me one last week in response to a pic I sent him of my son. I asked for a translation, he told me to Goggle it....I asked my best friend & she laughed hysterically! It was quite a rude comment on his part.....sent with a LOL, of course.
