I am trying to build a gym at home. I do not have time to go to the gym anymore and its driving me nuts.
Anyways, would you recommend an Ab Lounger?
Or any other suggestions of equipment that you love is appreciated too!

What can I do next?

want to tone your core, you don't need equipment other than a mat and an exercise ball. There are some really good exercises out there, and one is the Plank. You can do it on the floor, and the ball. There are many positions you can choose to get those tummy muscles toned up with out going broke on the machines. I don't have room for machines, or ability to go to a gym. I hired a personal trainer that brings some things with her, and we do work out for 1 1/2 hour every week. She shows me how to use at home things for work out. I have hand weights up to 20 pounds, big exercise ball, medicine ball, and the Exercise bands (Resistance bands)

You really don't need to get anything too sophisticated or expensive. I wouldn't use this. A good core workout can be done with just a mat. You just need to know the right exercises to do and can find many demos online, you tube, Spark, etc.

A good set of hand weights, resistance bands, a step (preferably adjustable), maybe some weighted balls would be all I would ever need.

eh. we've got one, and used it a lot for a while. my younger kid thinks it helped, but he's young and also goes to the gym. the ol' man and i still use it sometimes. for me it's just because i hate crunches and get bored with them. but the ab lounger is just more of the same.
it's not necessary at all. you can work your abs just as well on a mat on the floor. but if you have a pea brain like mine that needs a lot of variety, it's a fine alternative. just don't expect miracles.
i get a LOT more use out of my stair-stepper and elliptical.
