Does anyone know of a good place to get children's photos taken in the Lake Orion, Oxford, Waterford area? I used to go to My Photographer. I loved the prices and the quality of the pictures. Now that they are out of business I am lost. I don't want to spent 100's of dollars on pictures, but I would like a place that takes nice pictures and they know how to photograph kids.
amazing, and the best is, that she gives you the proves (CD). You own the originals and can print how many you want and provide grandma, grandpa, aunts, sisters,.... with the great pics

I go to Target Portrait Studio on Brown Road near Great Lakes Crossing and have always had fantastic results. They are Lifetouch, just like at JC Penny, but they do not charge a sitting fee if you take in the coupon that is always available on line (Or I get them in the mail). Be sure to get the coupons if you go.
My friends do a terrific job! They have photographed my three squirmy kids and I LOVE how they turn out. You can email A. at ____@____.com She will take them at home, at her home, or at a park (awesome with the fall colors).
I second Portrait Innovations. We have gone there for almost all our pictures since my daughter was born 2 years ago. We have tried Target, Sears, JCP and Kiddie Kandids and have gotten more pictures for a better price at PI everytime!
There is one in Northville and by Lakeside Mall so it is a little drive but worth it for sure!
I've been very pleased with Target Studios in Auburn Hills, which is where we go for our boys' yearly photos. When I want special pictures, either family pictures or of the boys together, I use Kim Allmand at www.daydreamgalleries.com. She does fantastic work outside in places you'd never think a picture would look good at first. Fall would actually be a perfect time for some of those. Actually if you scroll through her family or kids section you'll see a collage she did of one mine, Blake.
(I will add that I've been to the JCpenneys and Sears both at the Summit Place mall and did not feel like I got my money's worth)
I love Portrait Innovations! They have a website so you can see if there is one by you. www.portraitinnovations.com They also always run a deal for a one pose package for $10. They have these big rooms where you take the photos and they use actual cameras that are not on a stand so they can move around. Its pretty cool and I have always been totally satisfied with my pictures there.
I've been going to JCPenneys for years. You just have to have coupons.
