We're going to need a new a/c unit for our townhouse soon (we're in Ashburn) so we got an estimate from the company who does our regular maintanence. They quoted us $14k, which seems high. Does anyone have a reccomendation for a company that they have used and trusted and feel gave them an honest price? I need to get a few more estimates but woul prefer calling places others havw used and trust. Thanks in advance for your help!
we used snell & son based in sterling for our annual maintenance contract. we never had a unit installed from them. we liked them.
We used Air Treatment Company who did a nice job and the price was fair but I wouldn't say spectacular. Mostly, they were on time, polite, and did what they said they'd do for the price they quoted. Hi! We used Shanahan's Heating and Cooling - I got their name from Checkbook (consumer ratings group - like Consumer Reports but local). We replaced our A/C for a lot less than $14K - I want to say it was around $6-7K. Plus the guy from Shanahan's (Curt? Kirk?) gave us paperwork on a tax credit for the new A/C. I think we got around $1.5K back from the credit. Sorry I don't have their number, but they should be in the yellow pages or Google - I think they're in Leesburg.
