Find a romantic B&B for a night. Go to a play or musical.
My hubby an I have been married for almost 5 years, we have saved a little bit of money to do something, but not for sure what to do. Normally, my mother will watch our daughter so we can have a nice dinner, or some years our daughter has went with us.. But 5 years i think we should do something more than just a dinner. What are your ideas? Help please..

Of course you deserve couple time to keep your relationship going in a positive manner. Date night was a priority for us when we got married and most especially after our daughter was born. To this day, we have messed very few weekly date nights. Lucky you to have family close by to care for your daughter!! We paid anywhere between $60-$100 a week just on a sitter.
So.. what do you want to do? What are your interests?
Do you want a weekend getaway? South Beach in Miami is a lot of fun. Places closer to you would be Amelia Island, Hilton Head, go to NYC and take in a Broadway show.
Do you like sports? music? Go to a professional sporting event, go to a concert. We have a Top Golf and it is a lot of fun to go and enjoy... you don't have to be a great golfer to have fun. We go to Lonestar Park for horse racing, the Arboretum with spring flower displays is wonderful.
We also enjoy great dinners at high end restaurants and fine wine. We went to a formal wine tasting once and it was a lot of fun.
Go to a local very nice hotel for the evening.
Think about what you want to do and we can help a lot more.
Go enjoy yourselves, whatever you choose.
We like to go a resort hotel in a nearby beach town for an overnight. We go for lunch on Saturday, then go for a couples massage, a nice dinner and wine, a walk on the beach (or ice, depending on the season), a swim in the pool or the lake, breakfast, walk around the town looking at antique shops, lunch then home.
My husband loves aquariums and I love to eat.
About 10 yrs ago, we went the Boston Aquarium for 3 hours...then, out to a great restaurant in Boston. We stayed overnight and visited Quincy Market. We had sooo much fun!!
If your mom will watch your daughter overnight, I second the idea of a nice dinner followed by a night at a bed and breakfast. It doesn't even have to be far away to feel special.
We don't like B&Bs because we seem to stay at ones where the walls are pretty thin :)
We prefer a jacuzzi suite in a local hotel. We check in, bring dinner with us, and have fun until check out time.
