it could also be allergies. something in the air that irritating her throat. You might ask your pediatrician if you should try allergy medication and which ones/ what dosage.

This does sound like it could be asthma or allergies. My six year old daughter was diagnosed with viral induced asthma. She was had a prolonged winter cough. After a cold she would take a month or more to get over the cough. Since she would usually catch another cold before her cough was gone her cough would last for weeks to months.
It never occurred to me that this was asthma. She never has any problem breathing and she never wheezed. I did not know that asthma could be like this. She was given the oral steroids for five days, antibiotics for an ear infection (the reason I took her to the doctor),
and a maintenance inhaler that she uses twice a day. She only has problems when she is sick with a cold or has been sick. Now when she gets a cold I give her the inhaler.
I hope this helps.
This could be asthma or allergies. Check this website out www.tx.parentsunited.com. This website has a news clip about cleaners that are found in homes and the affects that they are having on people. I found a company that offers safe affordable products that work wonders. I don't distribute the products I educate others on how to order their products. I look forward to hearing from you.

I've had the same problem. I went to my doctor last week and she said that this is the worst allergy season in 50 years. I almost never have allergy issues, but it's been awful for me this year - tons of drainage that runs into my chest and makes me cough. She prescribed me an allergy nasal spray and so far, things are getting better.
