My 5 year old is completely obsessed with emergency vehicles. He is getting a Dodge Charger police car that is like a power wheels. It has working lights, sirens, and megaphone.
We are getting our soon to be 6yr old son an electric Razor scooter. I need something comparable (not necessarily $$, but from a child's eyes) for our 3yr old son. These big gifts will be from Santa. He doen't want or need anything, so it makes it harder. He has plenty of bikes/big wheels, etc. already. Thanks for the ideas!!
Love Love the scooter idea too for toddlers. So which one is better? A flying turtle or a plasmaCar? Thank you so much!!

This is kind of expensive but totally worth it. All three of my kids played with it for years, and now the little cousins play with it when they come over:

And after 15 years it still looks and operates like a brand new toy!
When my son turned 3, I got him a giant trackmaster train set with tons of trains. He loved it.
Maybe a remote control car? I know that is wheels.....
Our almost 3 year old is getting a play kitchen this year, along with tons of play food for "cooking". He loves to watch me cook and "help" I know he'll LOVE to have his very own kitchen and food. It's pretty chilly here in the winter, so something that can be played with inside is a must for Christmas.
although you can't ride it, what about a drawing easel.. we bought my son one when he was little. It has one board for chalk and the other for dry erase.. he is now 12 and although doesn't use it for drawing/coloring.. he now uses it to draw maps, for which he loves.. The easel was the best investment ever.. of all toys, that is the one that paid off over and over.
plus, it was good to use when we were teaching him the ABC s...
good luck
Get him a scooter too. They have them for his age. Radio Flyer makes some great outdoor riding/scooter type toys. Check on Amazon
1.Does he have a train table? I am assuming yes, since he has a big brother.
2.Tool set with the big bench/wall
3. Flying helicopter (he is young, but always good since both kids will like it and you may have a ton of toys from big brother)
You should go on your local craigslist. I noticed for my older child, an air hockey table for $25. It is much smaller than the ones in arcades, but still a big item for not a huge price. I am sure something will look cool.
Get your younger one a non-electric razor scooter. He will quickly master being on two wheels (don't waste your money on a three wheeled scooter since he's already 3 years old) and he'll be able to keep up with your older one much better than he could on a plasma car.
Both of my kids (boy 6, girl 3) have Razor scooters. We also have a plasma car. They like the plasma car, but they get a lot more use out of the scooters and have a lot more fun on them.
Otherwise, if he's into cars, get him a really neat garage or racing track for matchbox cars.
Razor scooter has a 3 wheel scooter for younger kids (3-4 year olds) that looks like it would be great.
