Oh, this is normal. I started getting these very early on with my first pregnancy. They suck! But, they are normal. Do lots of kegals. When they happen in public, hold a kegal and pretend like you're looking at something, lol. I waited tables, so it was hard to hide for me, but I got through it. :) Merry Christmas!

I am 38 weeks prego with #4 and my guess is your baby is kicking your vagina from the inside. I have had two of my babies do this to me (this one is the worst). It about sends me through the roof when they do it. An electric shock is a great way to describe it.

If it feels like it could be something else, just mention it to your doc, I am sure they can figure out what else it could be.

Good luck on #1 and hold on for the ride!

I think it might have something to do with your Sciatic nerve. It happend to me alot and thats what my doctor and midwife had told me. Ask them about it next check up.

It sounds like the baby is just sitting on a nerve funny, or maybe putting little hands up by his/her face. My oldest reached his hand above his head once when in utero and I though his hand was going to come out of me :-) I don't think you really need to worry too much at this point. Try going to the chiropractor.

I was checked out for this, not while pregnant, only conclusion was mild constipation. Good luck.

I have these sometimes and I'm not pregnant. I don't know what causes them but they're normal.

That would happen to me with both of my pregnancies too. I thought it was something to do with the baby's head nudging around in there trying to get down lower by the cervical opening. I would think it felt like being stabbed with a sharp pencil up there. Sorry you are experiencing that! I never felt that after the babies came out. Good luck!
