Have you tried freecycle.org? You might also look up Mother's of twins, mother's of multiples and look on their discussion boards.
I am a single mom with 3 almost 2 year olds, and I was wondering what is out there available for strollers. When they were born, we decided to get a single stroller and a double and cut the cost of the strollers in half at least. Now, it is just me and I have to carry one and push the double. I have very little to spend on another option, but I am looking for a 3 seater stroller that would be able to work for me. I dont need the standard triplet stroller as they are all old enough to sit up; any ideas?

I saw a 3 seater at Once Upon A Child in Goodyear off of Litchfield Road between the I-10 and McDowell. It was really cheap. It's a second-hand store and would be perfect for your triplets.
hi,
Check out the sti n stand strollrs. It looks like a conventional double stroller (front and back) but the back seat can come off and there is a place to sit and also a place to stand there. Look up a picture and you can see what I mean. When I ordered mine it was only online, but I saw them at babies r us last week so chck it out. I have a 18 mo and a 3 year ld and we ften have a friend and all 3 fit just fine. It is pretty liht and easy to lift and manuver.
Good luck,
K.
I would definately check into the sit & stands they have a single sit & stand (I have ) so one sits in the seat & the other sits or stands in the back but the back is big enough for either both to sit oe 1 to sit & the other to stand.. Or they do make a double sit & stand so 2 can sit in a seat & then one can stand up in the back.. They are expensive new but definately look on Craigslist as they are always on there cheaper. I got mine actually from a goodwill store & it was in good condition.. They are also alot easier to manuever then a triple or even a double stroller.. Good luck
I don't know about 3 seat strollers, but when I would take my triplets out alone I would use the double and put one on my back in a hiking backpack. Now that they are 3, almost four, I put two in the normals seats of the double and let one ride on the tray for the back seat. It works for us!
Also, there is a support group for families with triplets in the Valley called Multiple Joys. There are a lot of single moms in our group with young triplets. We have family parties, Mom's Night Out, a lending closet, etc. Our website is www.multiplejoys.com, and we also have a group on Facebook. Just search 'Multiple Joys' and you should find it. Pm me if you have any questions, etc. Nice to "meet" you!!
I have absolutely no idea about the strollers..however I wanted to say..."YOU ARE AMAZING"!!! I am just about to head down the single mom path with my 23 month old daughter...feeling terrified and unsure. I don't know how you are doing it...but you are and should be giving yourself many pats on the path for facing the challenges you face. You are an insipiration.
those are all good ideas in fact my stroller just broke. I was looking at a triple stroller when Pregnant with my 3rd but my oldest was 5 so I figured he could walk. But I did look into the double with the sit n stand attachment.
FYI...The Happy Valley mom's group having a baby and kids sale this weekend to benefit the Weldon House at the Foothills Christian Church(39th ave & Happy Vally). It is Friday May 1 ($2 donation) from 6-9 and Saturday May 2(Free) 7-noon. I am definatly going to check them out but I do not know what kind of items they will have.
Wow! Don't think this will help you much unless you can find one second hand, it remember it was expensive 16 years ago...I had a double stroller that was side by side made by Emmaljunga. It was so strong it could hold anything! I had 3 kids 20 months apart, and i remember having all 3 in it for years! It was like a king bed, or playpen because the feet could lock up and head could be sealed with the canopy. Unfortunatly, i did look online to see where you can buy one and it looks like they are not sold in the US anymore, the come from Sweden. Ebay? Craigslist? Garage sales? wish i knew where mine went, either a garage sale in Phoenix or somewhere deep in storage in SD.
I don't know if this would work, but they make attachments for the little umbrella strollers so you can connect 2 of them together... I wonder if you can put 3 umbrella strollers together? Although you definitely wouldn't be able to go through doors!
Another option may be to get a sit and stand... I know that they are designed to carry 2 kids, but the back may be large enough to hold 2 of the kids.
I found this stroller online... although I used a double that was tandem and it was a bear to steer... I'm sure this one would be even more of a bear!

Also saw this one online too... it seats 4... but that may give you a place to put your purse and diaper bag...

I don't know how much you are willing to spend, and since the kids are almost 2, they'll probably want to walk around some more.
Is there a way to somehow attach the single stroller in front of the double?
I glanced on Craigslist really quick for you and I saw two however they are in the $275-$300 range. One of them is normally over $1000 at Target but they are selling it for $300. Here are the links.

If the links don't work then do this:
Go to http://phoenix.craigslist.org/
Type in "Stroller for Triplets" and these will pull up.
Good luck, I hope these help you.
Hi S.,
You probably have already heard this but almost every year at the Albuquerque Mother of Twins sale, I see a multiple stroller. I don't know where you are but I might try to track down your local chapter and see if they have the inside scoop on someone who wants to get rid of one. Even if they don't, you might find better suggestions from people in the trenches like you. Good luck
I had four kids really close in age and I would put the back seat of my double flat (like for sleeping) and put two kids sitting in there then put one in front. It wasn't ideal, but works in a pinch until you find something. I also relied heavily on my wagon and just rewarded them when they stayed in and didn't climb out. I always dreamed of a triplet stroller, though.
