Hi Ladies,
I think I know the answer but I thought I would share. This morning I woke up and had abdominal pain. It felt like I tore or ripped a muscle in my stomach. No contractions or anything, just felt like muscle pain. It wasnt really letting up so I made my husband take my daughter to school while I layed down. After resting for a little bit I feel better. Its probably just muscle or ligament pain right? Im just nervous because my last appointment I was measuring big and the nurse thought it would be good to scare me about it. Im getting an ultrasound next visit to make sure everything is ok.

What can I do next?

Definitely...sounds like round ligament pain....Ouch! I remember if I'd stretch too fast or get up the wrong way oh the pain it caused...could take my breath away....If it continues see your doctor sooner rather than later..I am assuming as long as you feel the baby kick...no fever, spotting etc...I am sure you're fine. :)

I used to have the WORST pain from the ligaments stretching, it felt like I was being ripped open and I would double over in pain. Try curling up on your left side on the couch or in bed, watch some tv or read a book for a few hours, and don't stretch yourself completely out when you stand. 29 weeks is when baby really starts getting big and cramped in there, and your body is trying to accomodate baby! Relax :)

No need to be worried to me it sounds like Round Ligament Pain or your uterus is irritated (makes sense if you are measuring big as you say) ! I just went to the ER last week with worse pain but similar to what you describe and they said I have an irritated uterus (I'm about to pop, 37 weeks:) You should be fine with taking a nice, warm bath and relaxing.Put your feet up and get some rest when you feel those pains. Oh, and most importantly; make sure you are drinking lots of water at all times, not drinking enough water will contribute to those types of pains!

I am only 15 weeks and get that constantly. Your muscles/ligaments are just stretching themselves (especially since they already know what to do). They hurt like crazy though, don't they?!

It sounds a lot like round ligament pain, but be sure you're feeling the baby move every day. If you really feel like something is wrong, schedule an emergency appt with your ob.
