I would suggest the Playskool talking vacuum, big piece wood puzzles, and Leap Frog's Refrigerator Animal Barn or ABC'S something like that. Good luck,

Hello,
My daughter is going to be 2 in Novemeber, and we are going to get her a few toys as part of her birthday (like she doesn't have enough already, but you know how it goes!!). There are sooo many toys out there to choose from that look fun or educational and then once you buy them they don't touch them after the first day. So, I am asking all of the moms out here with 2-3 year olds, what is your child's favorite toys?? Just to help me eith some ideas!! Thanks for you help!!

My daughter always loved the wooden puzzles from Mellisa and Doug. They have a good assortment for differnt learning skills. Toys R Us is a good place to find them. My daughter is almost 4 and still loves to play with them.
My 2 year old girl LOVES Barney and anything with buttons and sounds. My 4 year old son likes video games and cars & trucks. Nothing to fancy
I have a grandbaby girl who is 19 months old and the best things we could of bought her were touchy feely books from Usborne Books. She talks so much already, knowing some colors already, she can count a few numbers and she knows where all parts of her body are ect...she's a smarty. But these began her love for books and i can tell you that is her favorite...to look at those picture books and touchy feely ones too. I am an Usborne Books rep and have a website at www.theneedtoread.com and you can find great sales for under $2 at times. Check out the sales. They have alot to offer and i can guarantee you'll be glad when you get the products!

I have a little girl who turned 2 in July. She loves the littlest pet shop pets, Play food and dishes, and she is now starting to like barbie dolls. She also likes play vanity sets (hairdryer brushes rollers play nail polish) They have a princes set at kb toys that has it all in one.
My daughter loves anything that is a play set. Fisher Price Little People city/farm or she has a Calliou treehouse and a Veggietales castle. She plays with all of them quite a bit. She also really likes her puzzles, the wooden easy ones. She likes books, but I have to really watch her or she tears them up--even the board books.
Hope that helps!
My daughter when she was 2 loved the kitchen set that she got. She played with it for hour and hours. She also like baby dolls.
Well, I have just had boys but I was blessed to know my step daughter when she was two. At her age, she was a girly girl, so that anything that involved girly girl things she really liked. For example if we wanted learning toys, Either the disney princesses, or hello kitty, or even Barbie. They make so many learning toys that are geared to girls.
To get your daughter interested in drawing and writing, really cute stationary that can fit in a pretty purse.
She loved dress up too, so that can stem with the imagination aspect of learning and role playing.
Hope this helps a bit, cause I have spent money on tons of toys the kids just don't like to touch.

We have same problem when my daughter was 2 year olds. On of my close family friend also a parent refer this site to me http://www.besttoysfor2yearolds.org/ a good resources though. Hope it help.
our dd loves the baby einstein 'look and find' book for babies and toddlers, she's also into the duplo building blocks because of the different colors and they help her with counting. Crayons and play-doh will do the trick as well, and so do food and cooking toys. i've learned that kids in general will play with toys for a while and then move on. So, no matter what you'll get her she'll rotate.
we've made it a habit (since we also have a 4 ds and they're sharing a room) that we clean out the toy box before their birthdays and before xmas. - have fun
Hello, my 22 month old daughter olivia loves her little red devil vacuum. They have one at her mothers day out and thats the first thing she goes for when i drop her off. She also loves playing with her kitchen. We have a lot of meals a day cooked by her. Fun fun i love every minute of it. Happy birthday to your sweet girl.
With boys it's easy... things that involve transportation or noise.
With girl's not so easy. My daughter is 5. Her favorite toys were toys that made her feel more grown up. Or toys that helped her play grown up. For instance we got her a 3 piece baby doll stoller, carrier, and crib set. She still plays with that to this day. Because she gets to play Mama to her baby dolls. She also dug makeup (i didn't.. but she did). Also, dressup clothes. Princess dresses especially.
Hope this helps.
