17 Year Old Niece Just Moved in with Us

There are some good things about Eastern Hills and some not so great things. There are some really great kids and teachers at EHHS but there is also quite a few negative influences. As with all schools I believe the more involvement you as a guardian have the better chance your niece has of being successful and getting involved with the right crowd. EHHS is in my opinion probably the best HS on the east side of FW. I would not really recommend many of the charter schools in FW (like FW CAN) unless she is very close to having all of her credits and is strong willed to finish her schooling independently. Hope my comments do not alarm you...I just think the better informed parents/guardians are the better thay are able to help their kids do the right thing. Like the other post I would check out treetops in Euless, it is not that far from the 76112 area. Best of luck to you!!!

Hi my name is K.. I am 19 year's old. I graduated from Eastern Hills. I liked it pretty good. There are fights in every school and there where fights there too. But other than that it was a pretty nice school. She could also go to Trimble Tech. I almost went there and I really wished that I would have. The academic program is very good there. Check out www.treetops.org. It is a charter (K-12) school in Euless on a beautiful campus! They have a brand, spanking new high school building with a great science lab. Classes are rarely over 16 students and the kids get lots of one on one attention. Let me know if you have any questions!
