Take him to a Stride Rite and have them size him. They have different sizes for all kinds of kid's feet. You could always get some small Crocs, they are not the best for his feet but would be wider and comfortable for when outside.
i keep buying my son shoes they arew very very hard to get his foot in them , his foot is fat on the arch . or the wont stay on ? hes walking and its hard to let him walk outside his feet are always black ? any advice?

You may need wide shoes for him or just a different size/style than what you're buying him. I suggest Stride-Rite's! Their staff is very knowledgable and helpful about sizing and finding the right shoe for your child's foot. Good luck!
My children all have had the same problem. Adjustable sandles are favorites of ours. They don't always match every outfit but they at least have on shoes. I also let mine wear their pool shoes around the yard. Easy to clean and they're comfortable to run and play in.
Have you tried going to a children's shoe store to have his foot sized? Like Stride Rite or even Nordstroms? They also sell wide shoes for chubby feet. A bit more expensive but can be totally worth it.
W/o reading others' responses, I'd say either take him to Stride-Rite for a professional fitting of a really good-fitting pair, or buy the wide, cloth, lace-up tennis shoes that have a little rubber strip across the toe and lace them just tight enough to stay on well (if they're still available, that is!)
go to a place that deals with kids like stride rite they should be able to help
Have you tried Crocs? They sell generic ones almost everywhere. My son has wide chubby feet and Crocs are so easy to get on, and he has no trouble walking in them. They tend to run a little big so make sure to try them on him before you buy. Good luck!
I know the feeling. My second son has extremely wide feet and when he was little it was very hard to find shoes that fit him. I took him to Stride Rite when he was around 18 months and literally the only shoes that would comfortably fit his feet were a pair of extra wide velco tennis shoes. They looked like little orthopedic shoes :o) but he liked them. I also got him a pair of crocs (a size bigger than he really needed) and he liked those too. After the Stride Rite tennis shoes, I found a pair of New Balance that were the best! They are velcro tennis shoes and they come in wide widths too. They are little pricey, but they are great and last forever if you get them a little big. He went through a couple of pairs of those. He is 4 now and still wears a wide New Balance, but a different style. He loves them!
Try buying robeez or another leather soled soft shoe. They're easy to pull on over chubby baby feet, they provide a nice amount of protection but they're also very bendy so that their feet can work correctly and their arches can develop.
They're a little pricey, but worth it and last for a long time.
:)
Yep, Crocs are great, esp during the summer!
But you might also take him to get fitted for shoes. Nordstrom will do a fitting and make it fun for them. They can help you find the type of shoe that will work best on him.
I suggest sandals from See Kai Run. My 20 month old has a pretty big (almost size 8) fat foot and the SKR's are wide shoes. The sandals aree really easy to put on. I have a hard time putting boots, tennis shoes and aqua shoes b/c of his feet. I think he also curls his toes. The funniest thing is when he puts his fat feet into my daughters slender flip flops and walks around in them. His feet just spill over tthe sides :-)
ok I am soooo not into crocs. I think they're ugly. But my 16 mo girl has really fat feet too. The only shoes we have found that fit her good are sandals. They have to be the kind that have a velcro strip across the toes or top of the foot, and one that keeps it around their ankle. The one on the top of the foot really helps adjust so you can get their fat feet in them. Good Luck.
Try going to a store that specializes in children's shoes like Stride-Rite and getting his shoes professionally fitted.
see if you have a stride rite near you. they can properly fit him. good luck. mom of 7 R.
