My 14 month old just got 4 molars and she had 8 teeth before- she was cranky but they came in fast. I give her frozen bagels and frozen mango in one of those mesh feeding things- frozen mango (I get it at trader joes) works like a charm!
My 13 month old has had diarrhea and loose stool for about a week now. She also started getting a runny nose and drooling. She has been EXTREMELY irritable and today I caught her bitting really hard one the bottom of her shoes. Now I know that this sounds like your classic case of teething but she has it twice as bad as usual. Everyone keeps asking me if she is getting her molars which I have no idea. She only has 7 teeth, 4 on top and 3 on the bottom. I guess I thought that she would get the rest of her teeth before she would get any molars. Has anyone ever had their toddler get their molars before they had the rest of their teeth? Also does anyone have ideas to help with the pain? I hope that relief is insight because I have no idea how long it takes for a molar to come in. Hoping that it is short.

My son got front 2 on the bottom, then all 4 front top ones next came the 1st set of molars. The eye teeth came in before the other 2 front bottom ones did.
No magic cure that I know of. I tried all the different gels and one worked for the child. Other people recommended freezing a wet washcloth and letting them chew on that.
Yes, those little first molars can and do come in before the teeth, especially the eye teeth, there really is no order for teeth to come in. So don't worry about the order the teeth come in, just don't let your baby become dehydrated from the diarrhea
my sister's son had a couple of molars come in before the rest of his bottom front teeth came in. He got his molars about 13 months too. I would probably try ibprofin (motrin or advil) cause it reduces swelling along with fever and pain reducer.
Good Luck!!
The top 4 and bottom 4 ususally come in first then 1 year molars. My 16 month old is now getting the teeth in between. They hurt more because they are much bigger and seem to take longer. I give ibuprofin for the worst of it.
Yes, my 2.5 year old was a late teether, but got his molars long before most of his teeth. He had the 4 front ones on top and 2 on bottom when his molars came in. The other 2 on bottom came in SLOWLY, a while after that, and he just finally had his 4 I-teeth come in.... those were worse than the molars for him though... maybe because he was much older and could express his discomfort in words. Maybe it is her I-Teeth though. My son said his teeth hurt long before they came through. Try some Motrin for the discomfort and soft foods were more appealing. Good Luck.
Probably 12 month molars coming in. Baby orajel can be used to ease
her pain. No telling how long they will take to come in. Good luck and
I hope it is not long before they appear.
My daughter got molars all 4 at once and before all the canines came in (she already had 4 top and 4 bottom teeth). She got 6 teeth in a month when she was around 15 months. I could not see the molars until they were nearly all the way through. My daughter does very well with the Hylands teething tablets and motrin or tylenol at bedtime so she can sleep or if she is very irritable. I have used the oragel or similar gel but it is hard to get it in the right place for back teeth. There are tons of teething toys available, my kids like the firm but slightly flexible kind.
