I am wondering what to get my little man for his 1st Easter? I was thinking crayons, a coloring book and a mini kite? Any other good ideas???

Thanks,

What can I do next?

Last year my kids were 1 and 4 and I hid the plastic eggs full of puffs, goldfish and other toddler friendly foods. I saw plush stuffed peeps and a rabbit that looked like a chocolate bunny. I got my kids those and less candy. I've also seen rubber duckies with rabbit ears.

Chunky Board books, bath tub toys? Rubber duck, the nice over sized bibs, socks = ) new sippy cup...my son is 3 but he still drinks from one ( saves my carpets) and he loves the ones with characters on them.

even now with the kids being more than old enough for candy, we do outside toys. not expensive things but items like sidewalk chalk, sunglasses, hats, bubbles, pool goodies, beach towels.

this year we got a swim float, swim diaper, hat and sunglasses for our 4 month old, he won't know the difference but it's stuff he needs for the summer anyways.

How old will he be by Easter? My son's favorite Easter things are sidewalk chalk & bubbles. At Krogers this year I found bubbles with a wand that pops up when you squeeze the bottle, much easier for little fingers. Goldfish crackers or fruit snacks are also a big hit, but I stay away from candy because I end up eating it.

For my daughter's first Easter I made her "shakers" out of plastic easter eggs. I filled the eggs with various items: rice, beans, small jingle bells. I then closed them and "modge podged pretty paper and glitter all over them. When they dried they made cute little maraca shakers. We brought a dozen to our Birth to Three playground egg hunt and ALL the parents wanted some! They were great because they were appropriate for the age of our young kids and we didn't need to worry about choking hazards being in the eggs. My daughter, now three, still has some in her basket of musical instruments and we play with them now and then!
