I feel silly asking this because she is our third child, you'd think we know what were doing by now but I am at a loss on this issue. She absolutely will not take a sippy cup. We've tried different kinds, colors, etc and nothing. It doesn't matter what is in it.. she ain't having it! The older 2 kiddos never had any issues with it so I just don't know what else to try. I would like her to be on the sippy and off the bottle by her first b-day but I don't see that happening if I can't get her to take the cup at all. Any suggestions?
Try gettin some of the Nuby cups. They have a plastic top and they feel more that there bottle. That is the only thing my kids would take at first.
Take out the no-spill valve.
I know most moms don't agree with this but I put some cherry limeade in my daughters (9 months)and took the no drip out so that it would come out without her having to suck. She got the hang of it and now it's only water or diluted juice and the no drip is back in and there is no mess!! :)

My daughter only liked the straw cups for awhile, she couldn't figure out how to tilt the regular sippy cups up to get anything out.
My doctor said take the no drip spout out and do a straw cup. Gerber makes a straw cup with handles and it is perfect, I have only been able to find them at the grocery store though, not Walmart or anything. It worked for us.
