16 Year Old Wants Tanning Membership

Back about 23 years ago at age 16 I went tanning. At 17-20 I worked at one and had a nice tan. But since then I've never been in sun much or have been into being dark. I slather on the SPF and I may get a bit of tan but I'm all for covering up with lotion. The 16 year old would like to get a 3 month tanning membership ( does not want the spray tan) it seems so different now then back then so ,not sure. Part of me doesn't mind but then the other part does. I think there is more of a stigma against skin cancer then back then. Any thoughts?...

Help with My Zit Face!!

I am 22 yrs old and getting married in June. Here in the last 6 months or so I have been having these terrible breakouts! I sure don't want to have them on my wedding day!! I have tried using organic products like Eminence and I have tried AcneFree facial products. Nothing is working for me!! The Acnefree burned and dried out my skin, and I was only using it 3 times a week. I do not have oily skin and usually only dry in the winter. I need some serious help with it for sure!! The breakouts are mostly on my cheeks and temples.

Dry Cracked Hands/knucles

I have tried just about all I know to get my hands/knuckles to stop cracking. My pinky knuckles and my index fingers are the worst. I put lotion on all day, try to make sure I dry them completely after I wash them. I've tried using just hand sanitizer. Right now I put peroxide and neosporin with band-aids overnight. I work in a day care so I am always washing my hands. They have cracked and healed so many times that they are beginning to scar. Any ideas from you great Moms would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, T.

Scar Tissue? or Other Concern

My son (3) had to have stitches in his head after an accident around Thanksgiving this year. It has always been a bit swollen at the site of the injury but now he's had all the (7) stitches removed and it seems as if he has a bump under the skin where they sewed him up. Is this normal or should I be worried about it. His scar looks normal, no oozing or anything but it feels raised and as if there is either fluid or scar tissue underneath the surface. He tells me everytime I get close to his injury not to touch it, which tells me it is...

16 Year Old Son Ran Away 2 Weeks Ago

I found this site through a lonely move on my part, last week I put into a Google search box, "my 16 year old son ran away" and one of the threads here at mamapedia came up. It was really really helpful to hear the viewpoints on how to handle things, and it was the turning point for me to try to stop focusing on "how could he" and start thinking about “why did he and how can I help him.” It does hurt big time to know that he doesn’t see home as a haven, I would almost rather have an entitled, never-wants-to-leave kid than one who so...
