Munchkin Fresh Food Teether

Hello, my little boy just turned 7 months old. I received a two pk. of the Munchking mesh fresh food teethers for my shower and have still yet to use them. My baby is eating stage 2 foods three x's/day and loves it! He is also heavily teething right now. I am not sure what to put in this thing. I have heard strawberries, but not sure of what else. I also heard of putting meat in them? Ew..what kind? Do your babies like this product? Thanks!

Babies Can't Wait

I have a friend that has a 19 month old son that hasn't spoken yet. Her pediatrician isn't overly concerned, but recommended having him evaluated. Private therapy is expensive-but she heard that there was a funded program called Babies Can't Wait. Does anyone have any info I can pass along regarding this program? Thanks!

Help! New Mom to Be Looking for Advice.

I'm looking for any advice and recommendations from all of you moms out there. This is our first child and I'm not sure which items I should buy or avoid. I'd particulary like info on: Bottles & Breastpumps I plan on trying to breastfeed and pump, since I will be returning to work. I know I was a baby who was prone to colic, so I want to make sure I get some good bottles that help to limit this. Strollers & Carseats I've been eyeballing the Graco Quattro travel system. I have a big SUV, so getting the stroller in and out of the...

What Do You Spend?

If you go to a baby shower, or a wedding shower, what do you typically spend? There was a post about a $5 baby shower gift and I was shocked at that idea! I'm not talking about your sister, SIL, best friend, etc....just a run-of-the mill shower for a run-of-the mill (for lack of a better term) person. The bare minimum for me, would probably be $25, then the card, then the gift wrap/bag/bows ending up at about $35 total. What do you typically spend?

How to Bath 14 Month Old in Big Tub?

So my 14 month old dd has been in a bath seat for baths since she was 7 months old. I am afraid to bath her without it because she will try to stand up in the bath tub and slip all over the place. Do you have any suggestions on how to bath her without her slipping?? How do you bath your toddler?

I'm just not sure wether to go to Babies R Us and buy all new bottles or not. You know, I'm on a tight budget right now. How serious are you all taking this?

Safe Insect Repellent

Hey ladies-I started hunting around and then thought perhaps this pool of awesome mamas could help me...I'm searching for an insect repellent that WORKS, that's safe enough to use while nursing and on my three year old-I know that's a tall order! We've tried a few from Vitamin Cottage (one by Jason) that have citronella and they seem okay but not great because you need to use so much and keep reapplying after sunblock or swimmimg. I bought Badger Balm and found it quite annoying to slather myself up with balm and it's hard to get good...
