Best Eczema Treatment

My son has always had bad skin. He's 20 months now and has a large circle on his left cheek that has really bad eczema (nothing anywhere else). We've been through the standard line up (Aloe, Aveeno, prescriptions, etc) and nothing seems to work. I'm waiting for the dr to call me back and hopefully prescribe a new medication but has anyone had any luck with any over the counter creams / lotions?

Advice Re: Chronic Corneal Inflammation

Hi. Curious if anyone has experience dealing with chronic corneal inflammation, or "pitting" on the surface of the cornea? I have been dealing with this since September and many doctors later there is no solution. Symptoms include burning, dryness, discomfort, inability to wear contact lenses and redness. Tried all types of eye drops including steroids to no avail. Tried homeopathy, chinese herbs, cold compress, fish oil you name it. Getting depressed over the lack of information and lack of progress. I am 20/800 without glasses so...

Antibiotic Question for My Fellow Crunchy Mamas

Hi Mamas, Husband has a tooth abcess (ouch: literally, and we have dental insurance but holy expensive - we are having the tooth pulled and an implant placed for $4100!). Of course the dentist recommends antibiotics and steroids, and I am willing to make an exception to my "antibiotics are WAAAAYYY overused in Western society" policy for this particular case. I feel they are absolutely necessary in this situation. So, the surgery isTuesday, and the Dentist says don't begin the course of antibios until Monday (OK, I thought he was...

The pain is worst today (do not want to take to many pain meds so am taking Advil) I had to take a pain pill. Went back to oral surgeon took and he took an Xray. He said no infection, no bone...

Itchy Ears & Head: Eczema? Allergies? Help!!!

My 6-month-old daughter has a case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. By day, she is a little angel. By night, she is an itching and scratching terror!!! Although her day naps are peaceful and uneventful, she cannot stay asleep at night. She wakes up every hour or so scratching so hard that her ears and forehead turn red. This only happens at night. When she awakens for the day, her skin looks fine and doesn't have the tell-tale rash and redness of eczema that she has behind her knees and at her inner elbows. My wife and I have been to 10...
