Infant Acne Since 8 Mos. of Age -- Not Your Garden Variety Newborn Acne

Does anyone have experience treating persistant infant acne? We have tried mild steriod then later use of erithromycin/benzoyl peroxide. Nothing seems to clear it up completely. We still see pustules and / or blackheads. Seems more irritated with sunscreen though better with only zinc oxide based screens. Anyone have a great ped derma in NY area? Please help. He has little pits that look like formation of scars. Very olive skin, tans easily (husband has easily scarring, tan skin too).
