How so you guys do it?
I have my first, a beautiful baby girl. My plan was to go back to work, but I just cant seem to leave her. My husband and I work in real estate, and we all know how that market has gone. I found a great wat to supplement my income, helping homeowners facing foreclosures/adjustable rate mortgages. BUT I am always on the phone. It was easier when she was younger, she didnt have her voice and she wasnt mobile. It is a different story now. I cant imagine leaving her in care, how do the rest of you do it?

What can I do next?

Scheduling your day is a must!! Give yourself 3 hours or so each day that you will be on the phone. Try to schedule this during her naptime. Also, find a great teenager from your church who loves kids. They are usually happy to come over for a few hours to play with the baby while you work. I have found a few that are thrilled to work for lunch, Popsicles and a few dollars a day.

I run a full time business from home, I try to get up an hour before both my kiddo's prepare for my day and then I do what I can while they are up, print labels, grab merchandise and then when Kara naps I do all my shipping, inventory pulls and eat something, then when she wakes up it is her time and I finish up any orders after she goes to bed, I have it a lil easier with my business but you can still make calls during nap times!

Hi, A.~

I hope that you've had success over this past year balancing motherhood and the working world. For me, I found a home based business that allows me to have my son Jake at my side. He's 16 months old and very active and I can take cals from our backyard or work from the park! 'd love to share more information with you if you're in the market for a new opportunity. I know that this is a crazy time with foreclosures! I love the team of moms that I work with, Freedom United Moms. You can message me if you'd like to schedule a time to chat or request information at my website at http://www.mommiescanworkathome.com/.

Good luck!
