I am wondering what kinds of snacks to pack to withstand the heat and don't need a cooler!
I know I need other things too, water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen or the like, bug spray, swim suits, towels and changes of clothes, comfy shoes, did I leave anything out? lol
Do most of you bring a stroller as well when you go? DD will be 4 in September but don't see her walking the whole park. I will be sitting with her most of the time while daddy rides as it is father's day when we will be going.
Thanks

What can I do next?

In an insulated bag: PB&J sandwiches on whole wheat, string cheese, boiled eggs, orange wedges and juice boxes or pouches. Use frozen ice packs to keep things cold.

Also make up some trail mix, I use different cereals, raisins, chocolate, peanut butter or butterscotch chips or some M&M's and toss them in small zip lock bags so they're easy to eat.

It is six flags dammit!!!

I keep a cooler in the car, they practically strip search you now, no getting food or water in there.

A funny story, last summer my older daughter was our babysitter so we got them all season passes. She would throw Andy's meds in the bag even though he didn't need to take them. So when she got to the bag search she would tell them her brother has Autism so he needs to be fed specific food and needs the water to take his meds. They would let her in with her food. :p

Love that kid!

I don't have the balls to do it and he is my kid but apparently that works. :)

When you go to Six Flags they don't let you go in with food, especially a cooler. They check your purses and diaper bags (of course with changes of clothes and diapers, etc). If you have a baby they'll allow in baby food because they don't provide that sort of thing, or if you have a child with food allergies, but you can't bring more than a snack-sized amount of anything. They also prefer that you purchase drinks in the park.

HOWEVER you can pack a cooler full of food and drinks and leave it in your car. You can go back and forth to your car as many times as you want for a snack, lunch, or whatever.

If you carry in stuff for the water park, but want to walk around for a while, you can rent out lockers to hold all of your stuff.

We're going to Six Flags tomorrow, and I'm bringing jicama sticks, grapes, cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, crackers, and cheese cubes (which I freeze so it starts out very cold). I'm freezing a bunch of small water bottles to keep it all cold. I always tell them at the gate that my children have food allergies, and that's why I have to bring in our own food and water, so I can be sure it's safe for them. Never had a problem getting food in that way.

lol ok so I read the title and thought what the heck is a 7 flag restaurant. I thought you were talking about a 5 star place then saw the whole question. you need the things you listed. we never brought our own stroller as you can rent them for not much during the day. bring a book for when your just sitting and killing time.

Fruit is healthy and comes in its own packaging!

Sadly, dry processed foods work best, like crackers and pretzels.

I like to freeze bottles of water or Gatorade and keep in a lunchbox. Even though it melts, you still have soemthing ice cold to drink on the ride home.

Have fun and enjoy your day out!

I strongly suggest bringing a cooler and leaving it in the car. Put lots of ICE in it, with drinks when you are done for the day or even if you want to eat lunch at the car. We always put in a few sandwiches and fruit to eat when we leave or even if we come back to the car to have a lunch or something so we don't have to pay those high prices. While walking around I would have some crackers, peanuts, apple or orange or something like that.

When my kiddos where little we would get season passes and be there all day. It takes forever to leave at the end of the day from there (well in San Antonio and Dallas six flags). So we would get out the cooler, drink some juice and sodas, eat a sandwich or have some fruit. One time I didn't bring the cooler thinking we wouldn't need it, never did that again... It's so worth having in the car, especially when the day is done and you are leaving.

Have lots of fun and take pictures!!!

yes take a stroller! Not only for your 4 year old when she gets tired but just to haul around all your stuff! LOL As for snacks I always bring stuff like teddy grams, gold fish....any cracker type snack. They hold up in the heat and they are carbs which are good when you're in the sun all day and need to perk up and keep going.
