What Are Some Things to Get Ready When You Have 11 Weeks Left in Pregnancy?

at 11 weeks with #2 my advice is to set aside as much time as possible with #1. Come up with a list of something fun the two of you (or the three of you- hubby too) can do together.It is a hard transition for the family. Also, you could start putting together treat bags or activity sacks that are real canvas bags with a theme (cars, babies, coloring, playdoug, etc) pack them up (about five) and don't bring them out until after baby is here. When #1 is feeling antsy, etc. pull out one of the bags and let them have something fun to look forward to.
For the new baby, 11 weeks. Nursery and that is it. Still a long way away for bag packing:)

I deep cleaned and reorganized my whole house. I also put about 4 months worth of food in the freezer. I only put a few meals in the freezer before baby number 2, but our wallet paid for it because we ended up eating out A LOT. So this time, I decided to put lots of "fast food" in the freezer, burgers, 4 different kinds of soup, meatballs, lasagna, etc.

I also made hubby redo our upstairs bathroom. I also purchased and updated lots of things around the house. We needed a new grill, for instance, and a new camera. Things are crazy that first year with a baby, so I tried to think through all the things that needed to be done around here. We didn't get them all done, but we got close! I was close to losing my mind after I had my second (there is only 21 months between my first two), and this time around, I wanted to be gentle with myself.

So, make yourself a gentle list. What things would you like to have done before baby comes? Nursery and diapers, for sure, but anything else? I can't stand dirt, so I washed my blinds, etc. If you don't care about dirty blinds or drapes, then don't worry about them. Only you know what you need to have done to feel ready. I'm an overplanner that doesn't function without sleep, so I tried this time to be super-overprepared.

I'm the opposite.

Birth = 1 (or maybe 2) days. That's just an overnight bag, and babysitting.
Even coming home = car seat & Boobilage. In a pinch, a dresser drawer or veggie bin works as a bassinet.

Everything else = Extra :)

Did I have the nursery ready? Yep.
Did I have a lot of books to read to stave off sleep deprived boredom while nursing? Sho'nuff.
Diapers to spare? Check.

Part of why you're probably freaking about not knowing what to do... Is that you already have a wee one at home that you do for. Every day. Out of a bag in the car, and whatever is handy at home. No fuss no muss... Just "life". So trying to come up with a list equal to Clueless Mom2B you WERE, just isn't going to happen.

Has the new carseat been purchased and installed to make sure it fits?

Has the crib or bassinet been purchased? The mattress?

I washed the nursery sheets and a few neutral clothes. I left the tags on the gender specific stuff and unwashed, just in case. That can always be washed once you are home.

I had a small pack of diapers, travel wipes, and a change of clothes in my new diaper bag.

I had an unopened pack of diapers and wipes on each floor of the house.

I created a registry at Target (or updated the existing one) to be only any remaining must have items. Then I printed it out. This way, I could hand it to my mom, or hubby and say, 'go buy this'.
