Hi all, I am currently doing the weight watcher diet. I go to meetings over on rt 31 in aurora. I am looking for some "real" recipes. the kind my family will eat. The kind that doesn't have 15 ingredients with an 1/8 tsp this an 1/8 tsp that. I won't cook fancy smansy. Just regular food. If anyone has any tried and true recipes they have used for weight watchers can you send them on to me. I have myself, my husband, and 2 boys living at home. So food that is appealing to all would be good. Thanks so much.

Cream Cheese Salsa Chicken:

Don't worry about measurement, just don't go overboard.

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Smear a little bit of fat free cream cheese on top.
Put a spoonful of salsa on top of that.
Bake for about 30 minutes at 350.

If you have more calories to spend, you an also put a little fat free shredded cheese or a little bit of crushed tortilla chips on top for some crunch.

I am doing ww as well. I just bought a ww monmentum cookbook. It is excellent. It has crockpot receipes, easy breakfast stuff and basic dinner solutions. I think you can buy it at a meeting or online. Goodluck :)

How about for a special treat weight watchers cake recipe? 12 oz of diet pepsi/coke + cake mix. Bake as is on cake mix but watch it in the oven. -It doesn't need as long- Top it with cool whip. It's so yummy!

Hi Sheri:

Here are a few of my easy favorites. Both of these I eat when I'm not on a diet.

Turkey burgers
1 pkg lean ground turkey (btw ground turkey is buy one get one free at dominicks and jewel this week.:-))
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 package dried onion soup
1/2 cup water

Mix above together. Make patties and grill until cooked.

I use Sara Lee 80 calorie wheat buns. (Delicious. Don't taste at all like diet bread. You have to know what I mean.)

Burger 3 points (Although I don't calculate the onion soup. It could be .5 or so but I doubt it. I would calculate it for you but the ww site is down now.) Bun 1 point

My other go to easy favorite is from Costco's frozen fish section. It is called tortilla crusted tilapia w/ chipotle and lime. YUM!(It comes in a turquois colored box and the fish is from the US which is a HUGE deal to me.) From freezer to oven and ready in less than 15 minutes. Delicious and only 4 points.

I serve both of these with some sort of vegtable and still have plenty of points left over for dessert. :-)

I'm excited to see what other recipes are posted!

Good luck!

A.
