How long has he been doing this? If it's only been a few days could be stomach bug. If it's been for a length of time, it could be reflux and you might need to consider taking him to a doc and having it looked into. Need more info...
I would call the doctor. It could be acid reflux as mentioned above or anything from allergies to a more serious stomach issue. Anything I've read says call your doctor immediately if vomiting occurs for more than 3 days... I know this is every other day but I'd still call! Good luck :o)

cyclic vomiting, that in itself can be the diagnosis, but it can also be a symptom of many other things. There are many gastro issues that can cause that and should be investigated. At the same time, and not to alarm you, but there are also many nuerological issues that can cause cyclic vomiting. seizures are one. Sub-clinical especially, meaning you don't see any tremors, just what is typical for post-seizure, and that often includes vomiting. He should be checked out if this has been going on more than a week for sure.
Again, some kids go through spells like this. I have had both, one my pediatrician started calling her the "barfy one" because every few days she would vomit for no reason. After about a month she stopped. Never found a reason. I've also had the nueroligical issue in one of my kids as well. Took a while to find and had to insist on a nuero visit, but when that Dr. took a look at the journal I'd kept, she knew exactly what was causing it.
let us know! but stay calm, most likely hes on the "barfy kid" end of things! keep him well hydrated!! (oh, and oddly, 4 is a very common age for non-specific cyclic vomiting, so he already fits that, which means it should pass harmlessly.)
I would not think that is normal. Sometime kids cough so deep that it causes them to gag and then throw up. That would not be a stomach thing and he just has to learn how not to cough so deeply. If it is a nausious stomach thing, then that is a dr. issue. Either way, it is not normal so check it out.

NO, it's not normal. Why is he vomiting? Some kids get themselves worked up into a fit and then throw up. If that isn't it, consider what he is eating before he throws up-he might have a food allergy. I would absolutely take him to see a doctor, and maybe you can get a referral to a gastrointerologist, who will probably figure out what is wrong right away.
