Any suggestions for uniform dress shoes for wide feet? We've had DS in stride rite so far. Shoes are priced at about $50-$60. Any good brand suggestions for boys? He needs a penny loafer, an oxford or something of that ilk, and black. He can't get away with topsiders, mocassins, boat shoes, merrells etc.

Clarks - they make all the dressier styles as well as the classic slip on. My son LOVES them. The kids run about $60 but they are often on the flash sale sites (Zulilly, Gilt, Hautelook) for much less. Also, if you have an outlet mall near you there may be a Clarks outlet there. They do wide and extra-wide.
Payless Shoes carries wide sizes.
My kid has wide feet too and Stride Rite was the only place I could find wide width. They are pricy but worth every penny. I have never had any of the Stride Rite brands wear out or fall apart like the cheap shoes.
stride rite would have been my first suggestion. not sure if SAS has kids' shoes, but they're great for adults.

This year I had to move my daughter to a womens maryjane. They are nearly impossible to find. Of course they have them in the uniform store, but they are over priced and about 20 miles away from the house.

Lands End is where I got my DS shoes. But Payless also works and they make wide widths.
