Unconventional Question?????

This is SUCH an odd question, but I want to get some answers from real ppl and am not sure who else to ask - What deodorant do you guys use?? I used to use lady speed stick and now use secret invisable solid. It is not that I sweat a lot (hardly at all actually) but I feel like there is that borderline almost body odor smell with both of these and I want to switch to something that works better. I have never had this problem in my life and I used lady speed stick without this issue for like 5 years. Any recommendations????

What can I do next?

I use Dove...and have been for a while now and I like it a lot! For some, they like Lay Mitchum because they say it's really good for those who do have a lot of underarm sweat.

I tried lady speed stick, secret, and degree, but none of them worked for me. I finally tried my husband's deodorant in desperation, because I didn't want to pay $7.00 for the secret clinical strength. It worked. I use Gillette clear gel in Power rush scent. It's not too manly, and works. Good luck.

Hi Robin,

I don't know what fragrance you use with secret, but this has worked well for me.
I use Secret invisible solid- spring breeze. I am very sensitive to other deodorants and this one seems to work the best. It has a nice, light pleasant smell and I don't have to worry about any bad body odor. It usually lasts at least 12 hrs for me. I also found a trick to have a little backup method and that is to baby powder your arm pits right after a shower and then apply the deodorant. Good luck.

I use and LOVE Degree for Women. I honestly have tried all the main brands and none of them were strong enough for me. I have to admit, I can still feel moisture sometimes, but not enough to wet my clothes, and I NEVER stink, and I'm the kind of person who will totally stink by lunchtime with the other brands, so I really love it. Good luck!

I too had a similar problem about a year or so ago. I used different versions of Secret for years and loved them and then all Secret products just stopped working for me. I now use Degree for Women. I like the soft solid of the Secret and the scents better so I switched back after a while to see if my body just needed a break, but it didn't work. Now I stick with Degree full-time and it's worked for me the whole time.

I hope this helps.

I use the "crystal" it is a purple crystal that you put under a little water and rub it on your armpit, then when it drys i use deodorant. The crystal fights the odor, and it works fantastic. It is like 10 dollars, however one stick lasts almost a year. You can buy it anywhere, I buy mine at Walgreens. good luck, especially after having a baby, it won't get any easier!!!

Before I had my daughter I almost never had to use deoderant... Now I have to wear it all the time. I don't really sweat that much, but it changed after I had my daughter. This might be your case too. I have never been too particular with what I buy, its what smells good and works. Secret just came out with a new scented version of the Invisible Solid... its kuku coco butter and it smells soooo good! Everytime I reached for something I got a little whif.. mmm I have been using it for a little over a week now and it works as well as any other that I have used before. ;o) I don't do a lot os strenuous stuff, but I have a very active 3 year old and we walk 2 miles every day! Goos luck

Well after my son was born I ended up sweating with the odor (if I sweat enough). I tried everything and when I asked my doctor she suggested Secret Clinical Strength. It is the best ever. It is expensive, but it works.

I had the same problem after I started having kids. I always used Secret until my body chemistry changed. I tried a couple of other deodorants, but, Dove seems to work the best for me. Hope that helps. Good luck!

I use Body Satin Antiperspirant & Deodorant--it works and smells good! I purchase all of my household & personal care products from a wellness company. The products are all natural, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. The products are cheaper, safer, & more effective than any other natural line I've tried.

There's a new prescription strength from Secret I believe that I just started seeing on tv for stronger body odor protection. Degree works really well with me. Supposedly one needs to switch deodorants once in awhile so your body doesn't become immune. My mom started using men's Speedstick.

You have to change deodorants every couple of years because your bodies chemistry changes...

I use Dry Idea Unscented - but I have terrible allergies so I can't use any of the perfumy stuff...

I like the Dove invisible solid. The commercials are right! Your underarms are nicer looking after using it for a while. I bought it thinking it was for girls but my husband uses it too. I don't have any problems with body odor and neither does my husband. And he's a big man.

Mitchum for Women works Great! Check it out it out at your local drugstore or Target.

Here's a review on it http://beauty.ivillage.com/shop/0,,7qxst3f2-3,00.html

Mitchum for Women
Claim: "Reduces underarm wetness, all-day protection, so effective you could skip a day."
Tester says: When I was on the gymnastics team in high school, Lady Mitchum antiperspirant/deodorant had the reputation of being the only one on the market strong enough to keep us all from having sweat stains on our leotards. And I have to say, even though it looks different, the secret formula hasn't changed, because this stuff still has amazing superpowers. I wore it Rollerblading on a very warm day wearing way too many layers, and I was still dry as can be. I've never needed to reapply or sneakily sniff my underarms because the Flower Fresh scent keeps me going all day long. I'm glad some things never change!

Try cutting ONIONS from your diet for a week if you do eat them. I've always eaten them, and it took me many many years to figure this out.

My choices are limited because I am allergic to so many on the market but I can't go without ;)
I swear by Almay clear gel unscented!
It is the only one I have found that I like. With others I end up either breaking out in a rash, my smell/body chemistry/whatever and the artificial smell mingles into something rather nasty or the artificial smell sets off my asthma or a lovely combination of the above.
CVS always carries it, I can't always find it at every store I look at (such as Target or Walmart). I have better luck at drug stores.
