My sister-in-law has twins and she loved the double snap and go. It's nice and light and easier to take with you than other double strollers. She was sad when they outgrew their infant seats and she couldn't use it anymore.

I had done a lot of research on double strollers and then I went out and "test drove" the top three. I bought the Graco Quattro Tour Duo Stroller. It carries two car seats, it has an easy turning radius and it folds up nicely. Also, when it's folded it can stand up which is nice for sticking in a corner. I've really enjoyed it and how it handles. I bought it at Baby Depot in Burlington Coat Factory. I also checked out the safty rating for the car seats. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T CARE FOR IS THAT THE CAR SEATS ARE REAR FACING ONLY. But, my baby is growing out of it and is already to switch out of the infant car seat to the next level. She'll be one next month. You have to buy the car seats to go with the stroller, but it's worth it. I got it for $229.00 I think? I've thrown it in a trunk and in the back of my expedition. It's not too heavy and you can collapse it with one hand! I really like this one. I usually don't respond to these, but as I mentioned... I did a lot of research and I've very pleased with my stroller. Good luck!

Hi Steph,

I can certainly sympathize with your position and actaully own a business that was started when I found myself in your same situation (not with twins but the struggle to find a stroller I loved). My company is called OC Travel Tykes and we are based in San Clemente. We do personal stroller consultations at no charge and also offer the option of renting a stroller for the day so you can actually test it out before you buy it! Buying a new stroller is a big decision and you don't want to end up with one that doesn't quite groove with your family and end up hating it. With the cost of strollers today it is a big investment and you don't want to go wrong. I definitely have my own opinions about double strollers and am in a fortunate position where I talk to moms everyday and get to learn even more from their personal experiences. I am also a mom of two myself so I personally put all of our strollers to the test. Anyway, if you would like any help as you continue your research do not hesitate to contact me for an appt to come down to our showroom so we can help you out. If you don't live close to us, we can also give you a consultation right over the phone.

I have two boys, 15 mos apart. I tried a cheapy double that I found at a second-hand store, also the Schwinn and Kolcraft Contours. My complaints were that they were too difficult to maneuver, the side-by-side ones were too wide to get through many doorways, the Kolcraft tandem was sooo long and extremely heavy to push, and my boys were not happy in any of them (going for walks was miserable). I finally decided it was going to take some money to get what I wanted. I got a Valco Tri-mode twin. It's close to $700 and it is the best money I have ever spent, I only wish I could have bought it sooner. My boys are happy in it, it is so easy to maneuver and I can take it anywhere. It has an optional third seat that attaches in the front if you want that for your toddler and I believe it has an attachment that enables you to use it with the car seats - if not, check out the BOB strollers. They are also very expensive, but I almost went with the BOB and I am certain I saw that one has an attachment for car seats. I am not wealthy and I could not fathom spending that much money for a stroller in the beginning, but after 14 mos of battling with double strollers I was at my wits' end. My Valco is worth every hard-earned penny and I love it. If you are interested, you can check out www.babystrollershop.com. He only carries the high-end strollers and that is where I got mine. I was living in the town where he has his wherehouse at the time so I got it in person and I got to check out his other inventory. He has several options and he includes free accessories with purchase (and he's a real nice guy). Happy stroller shopping!

I bought the Kolcraft Contours and absolutely love it. It only comes with one carseat adapter though, but it is very easy to order the other. I bought it at babies r us, but it sells online at target.com and walmart.com.

The BOB Revolution Duallie can take two infant car seats if you buy the adapter. (I have this stroller and the adapter and LOVE IT.

Check out my friends website (Mom of Triplets). She is located in Murrieta, CA and knows her stuff when it comes to strollers! Her name is Kelly Morse.

I am just in the process of buying a new double stroller, so let my footwork help! I tested the joovy double stoller with the sit and stand on the back, and I am assuming this is the one you are talking about. I went with my 3 little ones, to try it out. It is not easy to stear at all. I really had to push hard to get it to move anywhere. It was fairly good (not easy forsure) with 2 kids, but with that 3rd one on there I was having a really hard time. Plus be weary with what type of car you have. I have a sequoia and when I folded it up and took it out to my car, it did not fit in the back. I ended up really liking the Valco Baby runabout trailmode twin stroller. If you look up www.valcobaby.com you can see the stroller there. It is a jogger stroller, incredibly easy to stear, plus it had a 3rd seat that snaps onto the front so your 2 year old can ride too. I think its called the toddler seat on the website. It can hold 2 carsearts (you will need to purchase the adapter bar), plus your toddler. I think this would be the best option for you as well. Its pretty pricy, but sooo worth it! The stroller itself is about $650, plus the toddler seat is $69. With 3 little ones any way to simplify your life is a blessing. You don't want to struggle to push a stroller!

I am pregnant with twins also. I have seen the double jogging strollers with the infant car seats attached. I think they are available at Babies 'R' Us. I saw an advertisement in a magazine one day. However, the stores that that I went to did not have them in stock. You may want to contact the Online CS department.

I have twins who are 6 and strollers have probably improved but I will give you my thoughts. Whent hey were infants I bought a second-hand double decker stroller and loved it. I am sure they still make these. They are snap and go strollers where one seat is higher then the other. It was extremely lightweight, streered really well (it had jog stroller wheels) and had a nice basket. Collapsing it was also easy.

Later we moved into the Combi Twin Savvy side-by-side and it met all of our needs. I am sure there are strollers out there now that steer a little more easily, but the combi was compact, lightweight, and did the job for us. The basket kind of sucked and if you are worried about that maybe check out the McClarens.

Just remember. . .no stroller is perfect. There is something about every stroller you will hate.

I have had two double strollers. The first was the kind where you could snap a car seat onto the front seat and the back seat was for an older child or you could snap a car seat onto both seats (front and back). I had a hard time manuvering around corners as it was so long and I also had a hard time being able to quickly assess the comfort of both children (as one of the children was so far in the front, I would have to stop and go make adjustments rather than being able to adjust as needed while moving along). Those aren't huge issues, so if you can live with them, those strollers are quite nice.
The second stroller was a double side-by-side which I liked better for moving around sharp corners and adjusting for needs of the babies, but these are not always so easily handled in stores or buildings with small aisles. Go to the store and ask to use the models on display. Then walk around the store, trying to get into corners, through racks, and into the cashier lines with the strollers. Think ease of use (like opening and closing), weight and manuverability, portability, and make sure it has all the features that you want (like cup holder or sun guards that swing both ways). After you have found one or two models that fit your needs, go online to yahoo shopping or get a day subscription to consumer reports and read reviews (especially the bad reviews) so you know what is the worst that some people have experienced with the models you have chosen. Good luck.

we do have the double snap and go. its ok. it serves its purpose so you can go right from the car and into the stroller with no issues. i also used it on the strand a few times until i got the double bob. its just very long and kind of hard to maneuver sometimes.

Dear Steph,

I am a SAHM with 4 year old twin boys and a daughter who is 12. I have used the snap-n-go for the first 12 months. It is great for Dr's or shopping in stores or the mall. However if you like to go for walks it is rather bumpy for long strolls. I have used a nice side by side PegPerego that I was very happy with, very light weight, very easy to fold and fits trough all doors, easy to push and manuver, also storage on the bottom was great. I hope this helps a little. Good luck.

Dear Steph,

First of all congrats on the twins. You will find that you have gained celebrity status when you go out with them.

Like you I have an older child and then twins. My oldest is a girl who is 4 and my twins are now 14 months old. I also looked into the Joovy big cabose and actually I really wanted it. However when it folds it is still really long and the weight was pretty high. I don't remember the exact dimentions - but check on it before you buy. I know it would not have fit in my trunk and I have a full size sadan.

I actually have three strollers. I bought a double snap n go and I love it. I am not looking forward when I have to stop using the snap in car seats (my twins were early - hence they are still small enough to fit in). It is light and easy to use. I also have a side by side stroller by Combi that we bought. It folds really small and is also light - however the two small baskets underneith are just OK. I bought a buggy board for it and now my older daughter has someplace to stand when she gets tired of walking. the fact that it is wide gives room for me to walk even with the buggy board on it.

The last one I have was a gift from someone whose twins grew out of it. It is a graco and I can snap the car seats in it as well. It is not as light as the snap n go - but has a really nice size basket under it.
The side by side is easier to steer - but the front to back fits in stores a little better.

Feel free to write back to me anytime if you have any other twin questions.
G.

I have a Combi twin saavy. I dont have twins, my kids are 3 years apart, but I used it for Disneyland trips etc and now the big one will just walk on those trips while the new one ( my 3rd due in July) gets to move into his seat, or I will sling the new one with the older two in the stroller. It is a side by side and very easy to steer, it is the same width as a wheelchair and therefore fits through doors. It has great canopies that can completely cover the seat on each side, which my kids liked. And it's light which is very important to me! As for the baby seat, it does not take a snap in one, but the seat can be placed down into the stroller, which I was unsure of to say the least, but it worked fine.

I have the Joovy stroller and I think it was a great buy. This is my second double stroller, the first was a Eddie Bauer double stroller it broke and was too bulky. I purchased insurance for my Joovy stroller but have yet to have a problem after a year. The only con would be it has no cup holders or place to place loose items. However there are attachable cup holders you could buy.

P.S. My boys are 4, 3, and 1
