Looking to buy a used SUV with a 2nd row captain seats, without a console and easy access to 3rd row. Anyone have one like that they would recommend?? Thank you in advance....I used to have a Honda Odyssey that you could walk from the front to the back down a center aisle. Looking for something like that.

What can I do next?

The New Ford Explorer has that option- I have the Explorer Sport Edition and I love it-fast sporty but family perfect!

Just a thought...many consoles can be removed with a little ingenuity. We bought a third row vehicle with captain's chairs and a console. We pulled out the console, wrapped it and stored it for later. I covered the missing carpet with a scrap piece of fabric. Perhaps not the most glamorous solution ever but it kept me from buying too big of a vehicle since the third row choices are already slim. Good luck.

Lincoln Navigators have the 2nd row captain seats with a third row that goes into and out of the floor by just pushing a button! The third row is so easy, you are never without your extra seats when you need them and they are never in the way and you don't have to wreck your outfit trying to move them around! I am on my third Navigator and am considering getting a fourth soon.

I have a Durango, which has a second row bench. But a good friend of mine just got a Toyota Highlander last summer and it has second row captain seats. It has a 3rd row that they keep stowed away for the most part. But it's there if they need to haul a bunch of kiddos. In my experience, cars like this are best if you don't NEED the 3rd row at all times. Once you pull those 3rd row seats up you lose pretty ALL storage in the back. But anyway, my friend loves her highlander, and I think it looks pretty cool. I've been very happy with my Durango, but it doesn't have the seats the way you want them.

I second the Acadia. We looked at the Traverse and it was smaller than the Acadia. We love it. Also, it's the least expensive one listed below. We get decent gas mileage and it's a smooth ride. The trunk is not that large, but I'm 5'2 and with a 2 step ladder, I have no trouble loading a canvas bag on top of the car for long trips. We got a 2008 with 15K miles on it for $30K at CarMax. It doesn't have many bells and whistles, but it get the job done. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

I had an Acadia and LOVED it. It had the 2nd row Captain's chairs with no console between them (there was a console in between the driver and passenger seats). I really loved everything about it, but we needed to upsize to a Suburban.

Think Chevy Traverse but not 100%. I have a Honda Pilot and third row is easy to access when needed.

The Caddilac Escalade!! It is by far my favorite vehicle. Very roomy and easy to drive. I am a very short 4'11" and the pedal will come up so I can sit comfortable and drive without sitting up top the wheel. I love the room in it and great service at the dealership as well! Test drive it and you will want it.

I drove a Yukon Denali with captain seats for just under four years and I absolutely loved it-very easy access to the third row. We only traded it in to go bigger, this time we got a Suburban for the cargo space. I miss the captain chairs, but we wanted the extra seating since we have five kids.

I think Lincoln is the only one that still makes on like that. If you want new, that is. If you want used, then the Ford Freestyle/Taurus X is what you want. I used to own one and LOVED it.
Otherwise, its back to the minivan.
Those types of crossover SUVs are just not being made anymore. Not sure why, because they were awesome cars.
