Summer Time Fun

Check out www.parentmap.com they have a calendar of events that is updated every month, with tons of stuff to do, a lot of it's free, too! Especially since school is out now, there's so much to do in July and August! Today we went to the Seafair Pirate's Landing, tomorrow is Family Fun Day at Emerald Downs, there'a Thomas the Tank Engine event, ice cream cruises, concerts, the Seafair PowWow, Hiawatha Kids Fun Fest in West Seattle, the West Seattle Street Fair, tons we have planned already!

Wilson High School pool is THE BOMB!!!!

It is our main source of activity as my son is a fish! It is seriously a resort-style pool with two slides, fountains, a swim tunnel, and an adult pool. The shallow end of the pool goes from ground level (with the fountains) and slowly gets deeper, just as if you were at the beach or on a coral reef and it has umbrellas over the shallow end so the little ones don't get burned.

Tuesday's are 2-for-1 days. Too, if you are not going to swim, you don't have to pay; but if you are the only person supervising your son, you clearly have to swim.

I highly recommend this activity!!!! A++++

check your local library.. some have story time.

I'm not sure where you are located but the Michael's craft stores usually have a fun arts and crafts class for little ones in my area(Keizer). There is also fun classes at Omsi in Portland for littles! Maybe you could find a music class for both of you...check into music together...or romp and play classes. just some thoughts!

Hi! My 3 year old really enjoys toys at the mall, the Children's Museum, anything involving music such as parades and street festivals, hiking (short ones!), throwing rocks in a stream or ocean, bug hunting, bubbles, etc. The Little Gym is fun. Kindermusic is a great program also. He likes to grow sunflowers in pots. He love going to the farmers' markets. There is a really great game farm in Sequim that is worth the drive. You drive through and hand feed the animals loaves of bread. It is so fun! You can make just about anything into an amazing adventure if you have the energy! Good Luck!
