I am seeking a summer day camp for my 11 year old daughter in Troy. Please let me know if there are camps which are fun, but reasonably priced.

I have a 10 year old stepdaughter who spends time with us in the summer. She usually is signed up for a few day camps through the city of Troy. Here is the link:

Hi J.!
Welcome to MI and Troy! I actually grew up in Troy and graduated from Troy Athens HS so I know a lot about the area. I would try Lifetime Fitness in Troy...they offer quite a few summer day camps and I don't think you have to be a member. Also, you might want to try the The Birmingham Community House in downtown birmingham...you can find them on the internet and they offer a lot of enrichment classes and I believe day camps as well. Good Luck!!

J.,

The Troy Parks and Rec department has some summer programs that aren't too expensive.

Also, just this week I saw ads for Henry Ford Hospital and Beaumont in your area of expertise.

Good luck,

D.

I don't know if you'd be interested, but my 11 yr. old daughter will be attending a Christian week-long camp in Rochester Hills. My older daughter went several years, and now helps out (she's 17). It will be July 17-21, and is located at the Rochester Church of Christ on Avon. (We are not members there) It is located across from the Home Depot. It is Christian, but non-denominational. The camp is titled, 'Young Artists Ministries'. The kids pick the classes they are interested in the morning--such as drama, painting, drawing, dance, sign language, photography...and much more, and then every afternoon there is a field trip. (Snacks and lunches provided.) These are to the water park, laser tag, bowling, etc. Last year there were around 125-150 kids ages 4th grade through 12th. (I think). The cost is $130 and well worth it! I will give you the website in case you're interested! Hope this helps! http://youngartistsministries.org/
