No offense, but if I were you I'd have already seen a doctor, not here, asking unqualified people questions they can't possibly know the answer to. We have no idea.

Wow, where are the mean answers you are whining about? The advice is obvious, regardless of what is going on you need to see a doctor.

Have you not called your doctor about this? We are not qualified to tell you what the blood means. My opinion, is that you need to call your doctor.

Yes, please call your doctor. My sister had some light bleeding when she was pregnant, around when her period would have come, and her doctor said she's ok - light bleeding is normal.

This definitely warrants a phone call.

I didn't see one mean answer to your post. They all said you need to see your doctor. Of course you're feeling extra sensitive. However, these posts are right on. Only a doctor will know what is going on. If you don't see a doctor you could be risking a ruptured tubal pregnancy and/or an infection because all of the tissue didn't come out which could result in your inability to get pregnant again.

You could also learn that you're still pregnant and need some extra care. Wouldn't it be worth a visit to just know what is happening?

What do you mean when you say your family will be threw with you? Threw with you for seeing the doctor? Threw with you for losing the pregnancy. Threw with you because you're pregnant? Would they not like for you to be healthy? Are they not accepting of you and your needs?

If you're underage you can ask for help from Child Protective Services if your parents refuse to let you go to the doctor.

You can go to the doctor without telling your parents. I took my daughter to her doctor when she was 15 or so and the doctor said she could not tell me the reason for the visit or what she'd advised. Your doctor is required by law to keep your visit confidential.

Please, at least, call your doctor. They may be able to reassure you over the phone or they may ask you to come in.

My daughter, when she was 17, had a miscarriage that sounded much like what you're describing. We called the doctor and they wanted to see her the next day.

Your health is important and so is the health of the baby if you're still pregnant.

You need to go and get checked. There is a possiblity that you are still pregnant, some women have this happen.

But with the severe cramps, that could be a red flag. You need to get checked out. I thought I was miscarrying ( had miscarryed before) and thought I would just let it pass naturally. After a week of the horrible cramps and large blood clots ( almost looked like pieces of meat.. gross, I know and sorry if its tmi). I went in to get checked out. I had a tubal pregnancy and was sent right in for emergancy surgery because my tube was ready to burst.

So please, I understand your scared, you need to get checked out by a Dr. If you don't have a regular doctor you can get into tomarrow, then go to the walk in clinic or er to get checked. There could be more than just your babies life at risk here.

Good luck and Im sending the best of luck.

Ps.. just because your young, this isn't the end of the world and I bet if you talk to your family Im sure they will be more supportive than you realize. I was 18 and a senior in high school the first time I got pregnant.

Welcome to mamapedia!!!

You stated you took pregnancy tests and they were positive. So obviously you are or were pregnant.

If you have BRIGHT RED blood and severe cramping - you are most likely experiencing a miscarriage. I'm sorry. If the blood is brown - it's likely that your body is getting rid of the stuff it doesn't need. I had this happen with my daughter. I had a period the first three months of my pregnancy with her - no kidding. Positive pregnancy tests and an ultrasound - I just bled the first 3 months.

Call your doctor and ask them to see you ASAP. If you go or bleed through more than one pad an hour - you need to go to the Emergency Room.

Good luck.

I had light spotting with my second pregnancy but not heavy bleeding. My first pregnancy not heavy bleeding but severe cramping and spotting which resulted in having to have a DNC because I was not miscarrying on my own. Each person's experience is different so please see a doctor to make sure if it was a miscarriage you are okay. If not you could have other complications. Best of luck!!

I'm sorry you are going through this. I'm also sorry that some of the comments came off as being mean. I think people want to help on this site but sometimes when people are concerned and are urging the questioner to take action, it sounds more pushy than they intend. Also, it's hard to convey feeling and emotion in a written statement. But I can see that, if you are young and scared, some of the insistent writings can upset you. You are also very emotional and frightened by your situation.

It's very difficult to know what is going on with you - it does sound like a miscarriage if your pregnancy tests came out positive. You went to a doctor so can you go back to that doctor for follow-up? I'm not sure how old you are but your parents don't necessarily need to know for you to be seen. Do you have medical coverage (insurance) under your parents? Is that why you are frightened to go back to the doctor, because your family will find out?

Can you call your local Planned Parenthood? They can either see you, or if their office is further away, they can refer you to a good women's clinic close to you. I used to work for one and we did not need to notify the parents if the girl was a certain age. They have free counseling and are very good at giving you good and trustworthy medical information. It's possible that you will need some medical treatment but they can explain it all, give you options, and most likely have someone from their staff stay with you during the doctor's visit to help keep you calm.

Please reach out for help. It's available and no one will judge you.

No matter what is going on either continued pregnancy or miscarriage your health should be your primary concern. Whether or not you're miscarrying the fact is you need to be seen by a doctor for your health, even if that means your family is done with you. Think of it this way, would you rather know for sure what's going on within your own body and be alive than ignore going to a doctor due to how your family may react and possibly put yourself in serious, perhaps life threatening danger?

It sounds like a miscarriage to me, but only the doctor can confirm it for sure. You should definitely set up an appointment ASAP. If it isn't a miscarriage, you need to make sure nothing else is wrong. If it is a miscarriage, you need to make sure it is complete, or else you need a D&C procedure to finish it.

I wish you all the best and I'm sorry you are going through this.

Sounds like a miscarriage. I had one like that, very painful cramps, but after all the clots, the bleeding subsided. I was still bleeding but not as much.
