There is a place in Fort Worth called Put a Cork in it. It is a smaller store, but very nice. They have a free tasting every Friday evening where they showcase 5-6 particular types of wines. They can send weekly emails so that you know the type of wine that is being showcased. It is located near TCU. Hope this helps!

Hi J.,

Call Delaney Vinards in Grapevine. The vinayard has its own array of Texas wines produced both there and at its Lubbock winery. Its tasting room is quite charming and you can also get a tour of its wine making facilities for a reasonable price. I would not attempt this however during Grapefest which is the 13- 16??? (Next weekend.) All of Grapevine will be a mad house! Good luck. Its sounds like a fun venture!!

Hey there J.,
My name is S. and I am a rep for the Traveling Vineyard, providing free, IN HOME Wine tasting. If I can be of assistance, Please don't hessitate to call me. We bring the wine into your home and give you a simple list of food to pair with the wine. It makes for a wonderful learning experience and once I'm finished with the presentation and out of your hair, your party can continue without me.
Please call If you are interested!

I was going to suggest both Light Catcher vineyard, as someone else already had, but also there is a great Cigar Bar/Restaurant with a really cool Wine Guy/Owner, Perry Tong (AKA Pop)...it is in Fort Worth right off of Foch Street close to downtown....Pops Safari Bar. It's a really funky fun place to go and they have wine tastings...you would need to call first because I am not sure when they have them. They are a lot of fun!

I know very little about wine, but the Boxer rescue group that we adopted our Boxer from is having a fund raiser. They've partnered with Premier Wines in Plano for a wine tasting night. When I saw your post, I figured I would pass along the info in case it would be something you would be interested in attending. I don't know the pricing of wine tasting and such, so I can't say if this is too pricey or not.

You must prepurchase tickets. This is an awesome group of people who do many wonderful things to save the lives and further ensure the safety of these beautiful animals. So anyways, just figured I'd share.

Hi, J.!

I do in-home wine tastings...I bring the Wine Country to YOU!! We taste 6 wines, 3 whites and 3 reds, and pair them with cheeses and chocolates and we learn about other food pairing ideas as well. The cost is $59 for wine valued at $120.

Hey J.,

Grapevine has a few wineries that are great to go to and if you wait until next weekend, Sept. 13-16, they are having a Grapefest. I'm sure if you googled it you'll find great info. Good luck and have fun.
