Hi All-
I am looking for someone to take pictures of our new baby in the next couple weeks as well as to have our family pictures done for Christmas some time in October/November.
Does anyone out there have a photographer that they love where we can get pictures done at a reasonable price?

When looking for a great photographer in the Austin area, I found it hard to find someone who was reasonably priced and still took really great photos. With this in mind, I happen to come across Alison Eden. Check out her website at www.alisoneden.com. She shoot our maternity pictures as well as my son at six weeks and six months. I plan to go back and have her take shoots when he is a year old. I can't say she is reasonable priced because I haven't compared her to others but I can say that she takes really great pictures.

She did our wedding, family photos (even let us bring the dogs), Easter pix of the new babies, and she's scheduled to shoot my sister-in-law's baby shower soom.
We like her because she will let us do the photo sessions wherever we choose for no extra fee. She gives us the full CD of every photo taken and releases the copyright to us. All for one flat price. She does some other things, like creating black and whites of certain photos, or adding/editing things from others, and just includes them on the CD in case we want to use them.
Oh yeah - forgot to mention how GOOD she is at editing. She edited an ex-boyfriend right out of a big family photo shoot. Made our parents so happy to have pictures of the whole gange - but without someone they were very displeased at seeing. ;-) Hope this helps. E.

It looks like you requested this a few days ago, but I haven't been on. I have a friend that does amazing work! She has done two shoots for us, one last year that we used for Christmas cards and another for my son's newborn pictures. She seems to be a bit more reasonable than some others recommended on here, just from what I can tell. I checked a couple of the other sites.

The laughs, the silly faces, the feet of brother and baby, my son laid on a big rock (in a white shirt)and she made a great picture of that! I thought it would be awful, but it really was one of my favorite shots! We also brought our dog to the shoot which you will see us in the gallery with the dalmation.
