Seeking In-home Childcare in NE Carrollton or South Plano for This Fall

I am due with my baby girl in the middle of Sept (although I have a feeling she'll come early). I work in Carrollton (near Midway & Park), but live near south of Firewheel mall. I am looking for something closer to work, but "on the way" to work would do as well... somewhere in the Plano 75093 zip code would work too. The daycare my older boys go to doesn't accept infants. Plus, I'd like for her to be close to work.

I am seeking child care for her probably starting end October/beg November. I will need full-time care (Mon-Fri) and prefer someone/someplace that is open until 6/6:30pm.

Would love recommendations!!

Thanks in advance for your help & suggestions!

We have not been there in several years, but when my daughter was younger she went to Cambridge Academy. It is located on Midway just north of Park (the building faces Prestonwood Baptist Church). I had her there from the time she was 6 months old until the end of 1st grade (when we moved from the area). Everyone there was always very nice and I never had any concerns about the care she received while there.

Good luck with your search!

Congrats on your upcoming birth!

Have you checked with Care.com?

Who takes care of your older children after school? Do they offer infant care as well?

Kindercare
Chesterbook
Minnie Land

Not sure what's in Texas - but you can look at "national" day cares and get an idea for what you need. Also when making your drive to work? Start paying attention to day cares along the way.

If you are interested in a home-based day care? Call your local licensing office and ask for a list of certified care givers in your area.

good luck!

I don't have references but 75093 is West Plano and there are a lot of nice places in that area. We have a condo in West Plano where our daughter lives there.. It is "the" zip code to have right now.

There are several national places like Primrose, Crème de la Crème, etc. in that area.

Keep in mind, you will pay more in West Plano. I live 15 minutes away from daughter in North Plano/Allen and everything is more expensive over there plus traffic is worse.

I'd focus on the Midway area if I were you. I'll text a couple of friends and see if they have any recommendations.

Try care.com and places like that as well. The Dallas Child magazine always has nanny services and child care places advertising in the back of the monthly magazine.

Good luck to you and I hope you find a good fit!

I suggest you re-post this with your location in the title! More people will see it and respond if they live in or know the area. So put the towns and the state in the title - "Carrollton TX area " or whatever other towns work for you.

Good luck with the delivery and the day care!
