Seeking Dermatologist in Allen, Plano, McKinney

I'm in need of a dermatologist in the area to do skin checks & possibly help me work on adult acne issues. I say possibly, as I've never had the best of luck w/dermatologists...they always seem to want to medicate the problem and/or push their own skin care line. I had one before, but felt I was just rushed through the office. Anybody have any success with someone that you'd recommend?

Plano Dermatology - at Windhaven & Dallas North Tollway (sw corner) Dr Michael McGuiness...

He's from the east coast...great subtle accent...he's great! I even got my husband to go to him! He'll start you off with a new patient appt - checking for skin cancers - and then take it from there.

Good Luck!

Hi Jeanette,
I used to see a dermatologist in Dallas for my adult acne, but he always perscribed topical medications and antibiotics (which are not good to stay on for long periods of time). Nothing ever worked until I found Arbonne. My skin cleared up in 2 weeks. I've been acne free (except for one or two during that time of the month) AND dermatologist free for 4 years!
I'd be happy to get you some info if you want it!
Thanks,
J.

I'd love to find one as well - I went to the Plano office of Dr. Lockhart and was totally unhappy. She would ask me questions and I would answer her, and as I started she would start talking to her nurse, totally ignoring what I was saying. Plus, I didn't think she took any of my concerns very seriously. It was just a really unpleasant experience. It could have just been that our personalities didn't mesh, but just FYI if anyone recommends that practice. Good luck!

I go to Dr Matter in Plano, she is wonderful and very detatiled oriented. She actually found melanoma on my chest at the age of38 so I'm so thankful that I went to see her and she was so focused.
