Seeking a Good Church in Lower Macungie Area

My family and I just moved into Lower Macungie township 2 months ago. I guess we are kinda in between Trexlertown,PA and Macungie,PA. My kids and I were attending a church regularly about 4-5 years ago. But we moved around a few times and kept putting off finding a new church. Well, I really want to get back into going but am dreading attending every church in the area to see where we fit.

We were attending a UCC church. However, I am very open to attending churches of other denominations. I am not sure exactly where we would fit. I am looking for a very upbeat and active church. That seems to be one thing that most churches I have visited are missing. I remember going to church with a friend as a child and I loved her church. I just don't remember what kind of church it was. The kids were very active, sang songs, went to camp, etc. That is something I am looking for.

If you are familiar with a local or church, know someone who is, or maybe if you have a recommendation as to what denomination to try, please let me know. Thanks!!!!

What can I do next?

Hi R.,

Try a Moravian Church. They are Christian and very friendly.

I go to the one in Nazareth.

Good luck. D.

I have heard great things about Bethany on Brookside Road. They have a MOPS program also I think on Thursdays for you and the kids can go to care for about an hour as well.

Hi R.,

My family attends Unity of Lehigh Valley in downtown Emmaus. We are a smaller non-denominational, non-traditional Christian church. We believe that God is good and is in everyone.

Every 5th Sunday is our Family Service where the children participate in the service (ushers, readers, etc). It is also our Back to School Blessing. We are asking all of the children to bring their backpacks for blessing and a small gift on Sunday 8/30 at 10 a.m.

Check us out on our website - http://www.unityoflehighvalley.org
On the services page, you can listen to Rev. Joy's past messages. This may help you determine if it would be a good fit for your family.
Blessings,
L.

We go to Faith Ev Free, right across the street from Walmart in Trexlertown. My 3 kids love it. There are 2 services. The traditional service is at 9, and the contemporary service is at 11:00 am.

Hi R., welcome!

My family is very active with Firdt Presbyterian Church of Allentown. It's on the corner of Cedar Crest and Tilghman Sts and would take you about 15 mins to get to on a Sunday morning.

We have three great assoc pastors who have been holding down the fort until our new pastor, Tony Sundermeier strives on Sept 13th. He is a 34 year old bundle of energy and enthusiasm and purpose who will do an incredible job leading us into this next era!

He will also compliment the already busy schedule of programs for all, but with four kids you'll be pleased to know that the kids and teen programs are exceptional. Ninety teens sing in the Youth Choir for 7th to. 12th graders, which my two girls are both finally in together.
"Ms Claire" is on staff and coordinates an extensive program for children, with lots of participation from volunteers, for the infant to 6th graders.

Check out the website at www.fpcallentown.org. There is also a very popular church on Brookside Road, a little closer, Bethany United Methodist Church. Lots of people love this one too!
