Hello,
I am seeking places to go on a Saturday morning to allow my 18 month "energetic" boy burn off some energy. I've taken him to various libraries for story time. However, he needs a place where he could "tumble" and run. I would also like to stay on the East side of town (between Shaker Heights and Bedford Ohio) Any ideas?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hello Everyone,

Thanks to a great mom on "mamsource", I found a couple of great places for my son. I took him to the open gym at Shaker Family Life Center. He played with other kids, climbed through tunnels, tumbled, rolled over and rode bikes. He had a great time and me and my husband had a GREAT time watching him.

After 45 minutes we returned home and my son immediately took a nap on his own. He was quite sleepy! It was a nice break for mommy and daddy too!

Thanks to the mom who recommended this place!

Again, not east side of town. But there is Pump It Up in Middleburg Hts, on Engle Road, just north of Bagley & I71. Pump It Up has all the inflatables.

Also Little Gym in Strongsville on W130th. You can call them to see if they have places near you or get suggestions.

Hi A.. I am not 100% sure about locations I would suggest
Gymboree- http://www.gymboreeclasses.com/b2c/customer/home.jsp
The Little gym- http://www.thelittlegym.com/
Gymnastics -http://www.cherysgymnasticsandbeyond.com/
Shaker Center- http://shakeronline.com/about/resources/ShakerFamilyCente...

You might also try the rainnforest section at the Cleveland Zoo or some of the activities they hold at the science center if you are looking a little further out..

American Bouncers in Bedford is awesome! Check the website for hours of open bounce. www.americanbouncers.com

There's also a Little Gym in Shaker. Right at the corner of Warrensville and Chagrin.

Hi A.,

Someone told me about Gymboree Play & Music. Below is the website address and a brief overview that can be found in detail at www.gymboreeclasses.com

"Gymboree sets forth the premise that by taking one of its classes for just 45 minutes once a week, you help build the foundation for social skills..."

Also, below are some other PLAY CENTERS that may be near the Shaker area:

• Funtime
• Swings -N- Things
• Fun'n'Stuff Amusement
• Holcomb's KnowVille

HOPE THIS HELPS...

A.,

I took my daughter to Kindermusic in Shaker when I was working. You sing and dance with your child. They are introduced to drums and other noisemakers, etc. I can't afford it now, but she loved it! As soon as I get another job, I will re-enroll her. If you go to Kindermusic.com you can find the times. Also, the first class is free if you want to try it out.

You might try Child Education Center on Mercantile/Commerce (right off of Chagrin Blvd just west of the interstate?

Hi Annamarie,
I don't know about Shaker Heights and Bedford, but there is a great place in Mentor called Funtime (www.funtimefun.com) Its an indoor inflatable playground. My kids love it! Your son will definitely burn off some energy there.
