Hi ladies! I could really use some advice on how to get nail polish out of cotton fabric. I have a 100% cotton slipcover and my daughter dripped nail polish on it. I have tried soaking it in nail polish remover but it did not come out. It lightened it but did not remove it. Any other suggestion you have are helpful. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thank you for your advise. Before I received any responses I tried nail polish remover and then washed the cover. It lightened it a bit. After receiving your responses I tried the de-solve-it and washed it again. It is not gone but it is significantly lighter. So for now that side of the cushion will be on the flip side or be covered with the throw pillows on the couch. If anything else it is a lesson learned for my daugter. Thanks again for your advise!

I don't know for sure how it would work on cotton, but I know Sol-U-Mel works to get nail polish off of many surfaces. Check out the product information here http://saferforyourhome.com/sol-u-mel.htm and let me know if you are interested in trying Melaleuca products. I'd be glad to help you. www.switchingstores.info

I used Motsenbocker's Lift off #3 on red nail polish in my beige carpet and it came right out. I had to order it off of the internet, so it took a few days to get here, but it worked like a charm.
